Now that the draft is here and gobe and New Orleans did not select a runningback..where does Thomas fiit in fantasy wise? Also i am trying to decide on who to choose in my dynasty..Thomas or Ward???
I think I would keep Pierre. I like what I saw from him last year. I think he showed what they were hoping to see out of Bush for a long time. Bush still has injury concerns.
I see them spliting with Pierre proving to be more effective.

I firmly believe Thomas is an NFL caiber RB. The problem is, I don't think his coach does. It is a shame as well, there has been nothing I have seen that Thomas doesn't do at least adequately.
I'm debating keeping him as my 3rd RB right now too. I think he had some great games and some great stats for the time he was on the field last year - 625 Rushing yds, 9 TDs. Cowboys 4 life said it though, I'm not sure that they really believe he's the man. It amazed me that they pulled him after such a hot streak when Deuce was healthy again towards the end. I'm watching his situation closely though and I think if the Saints don't bring in another back I might keep him. He'll be my 3rd RB behind Westbrook and Gore.
Pierre Thomas is a good RB3 with RB2 upside depending on Bush's health. He's definatelt the man to watch with the Saints this year. Hopefully the Saints don't do something dumb like picking up Edgerrin James after the Cards release him...
I like Pierre Thomas, I just don't understand why the Saints coaches seem to be down on him. If Bush stays healthy, he will be a low end #2 RB. He will have more vaule in TD heavy leagues, because I expect him to get most of the goal line work. If Reggie gets hurt, I see Thomas as a #1 Rb in that explosive offense.
I like Thomas over Ward. Thomas will get close to 20 touches a game even with Bush in there. So he will be a solid #2 back and if Bush gets hurt he will be a #1 back. Saints can score at will.
I don't get why people - especially the saints- don't give value to Thomas. Look at the six weeks he was the starter - weeks 11 - 16. He averaged 22.3 fantasy points with a solid 1.5 tds/game and almost 110 total yards/game. Second in the league only to DeAngelo Williams in standard scoring formats. the dropoff after Thiomas and turner is more than 4 points/game - signifigant in a tight league. And don't forget, he finished 2007 with a 199 total yard/ multi-TD game as well. Kid Can Play. trouble is- where to draft or what to give up to keep him. It only takes one owner with the stat line to sneak in and take him before you can get to him.
