I'm in a 10 team dynasty league, standard scoring, 0.5ppr league. My team is fairly solid, but I"m always looking to improve my team, so I was thinking about making a few moves before our rookie draft. What I'm trying to do is to get the #1 pick in the draft, but will need to make some moves to make it happen. My roster will be below, and here is what I would try to make happen, so what do you think??
Trade one my Reggie Bush for his D. Bowe (team is a little thin at rb and Bush is big in a ppr league)
Then my Colston / Bowe for the # 1 pick (has alot of quality rb's, but no wr's on roster)
QB- Palmer, Eli, Orton WR-Fitz, Colston, Calvin, Hixon, Sydney Rice RB-Peterson, R. Brown, D.Williams, R. Bush, LJ, C.Taylor, M.Bush, Caddy TE- Dallas Clark, O.Daniels
If I could pull this off then the next question is Crabtree, Beanie or Moreno???

So basically you would trade Bush and Colston for the 1.1 pick. I say no way do you get value out of that trade.
Your team is fantastic (albeit a little thin at QB). The only trade I would consider if I were you would be Eli or Orton plus your number 1 pick for a QB upgrade. You have plenty of young talent across the board... I would be willing to give up my 1st round rookie pick to win NOW.
It's a good theory but just a theory unless you have agreement witht he 3rd team. Always a bad move thinking that part 2 of a deal will fall into place.
I also think you are selling Bush a litle too cheap. You should be bale to get more than Bowe although his value is fairly low right now.
Personally, I don't think you need to go after 1.01. You are solid all over and should be looking at going truly elite as upgrades such as Forte or MJD or Peyton or Brees. This year's rookie you have almost as much of a shot with 1.04 to 1.06 as you do with 1.01.
Yea...I'd pass on that. Might be worth looking into grabbing the 1.04 pick though as I think there's a big dropoff after the 4th pick with Moreno, Wells, Donald Brown, and Crabtree. I personally like Brown a lot in Indy...he could be a stud for them and it's a very productive offense.

I don't know, but it doesn't look like you should trade for much more than a good QB. Can you play all those WRs? One your other RB's has to come on this year. What is your default draft position?
But I can see you thinking, since you don't need either Bush or Colston. It would be nice to get a AP or Forte find for this year, but that is a lot to gamble since without Colston your depth evaporates at WR...and that's all you're doing unless you're the only mind in your league.

My instinct would be to make the Bush/Bowe trade, then keep Bowe. With Fitz, Colston, Calvin & Bowe your WR stable is well equipped. If the 1.01 guy has zero WR's on roster, he may go for quantity over quality....say, Hixon, Rice & a clincher like Eli or Owen Daniels. This leaves you to play matchup for a backup TE, but gets you the #1 pick you wanted & keeps your WR corps high quality. If he absolutely MUST have Colston, remember he's coming off surgery/rehab/layoff this season - it may be worth the hit.
The picture for rookie outlooks is firming up. The current best of the crop, based on several factors, is Knowshon. Sanchez is also tempting as a future stud QB, but not for immediate production.
I honestly like the Bush for Bowe deal, that gives you 4 dominant young WR's, and you can still start Deangelo and AD with Ronnie Brown off the bench, that's a nice core line-up, I'd like your team much better there then trading for that #1 pick which isn't a good year to give up alot to have it.
