Anyone here horse racing fans? I am, and I love the Derby. I hope to go someday with my wife. I just got a look at the field for this Saturday's race, and I am going to go with somewhat of a longshot to win...Papa Clem.
I can't believe there isn't more discussion on this...
Not only was in a fifty to one, the performance was amazing! They came from nearly back of the pack, middle of the track, weaved, made it through such a tiny hole on the rail to take the lead.
No one in their right mind would of handle a horse like that in those conditions...it was an amazing performance.

Really?
People only watch the Kentucky Derby to see who has a chance for the Triple Crown People only watch the Preakness Stakes to see if the Derby winner wins People only watch the Belmont Stakes if there is a chance for the Triple Crown

I was in a liquor store on Saturday and saw that Jim Beam now has mint julip in a bottle... that's as close to the Derby as I get. Oh, and I had on a hat.
Seahorse Seahorse run run, horse, run
Was it the Derby last year where they had to euthanize the animal out on the track?

I go to the off-track betting with a buddy of mine every now and then. He lives there 7 days a week, making a very decent living handicapping races. He hit the Exacta on the derby by betting the horse who was second place as First with ALL second, or Second with ALL first. Needless to say the 50-1 shot beating his horse out for first place was the best possible outcome for him.
