... the Lions have made a few more roster moves, although in all honesty none of them are terribly exciting. They've signed a few free agent rookies, most notably D.J. Boldin, brother of Anquan Boldin. Of course, D.J. doesn't quite have the talent of his brother, but there's a slim chance he could get the last receiver spot on the team if he impresses. The Lions also signed Ball State center Dan Gerberry, UAB kicker/punter Swayze Waters, and Northwestern defensive tackle John Gill. Gerberry and Gill both play positions where the Lions could potentially use a depth player, but the chances of them making the team probably aren't terribly good. As for Waters, considering the fact the Lions have both Jason Hanson and Nick Harris, unless he has a big leg and could potentially be a kickoff specialist, he has no chance of making the team. Which is a shame, because having somebody named Swayze Waters on the Lions would be awesome.
