Fitz, Gore, Portis, Colston, Jennings - Keep 2

Postby H00KemH02NS » Thu Apr 30, 2009 11:02 am

Aaarrgh. I'm used to always going 2 rbs with my first 2 picks, but Fitz is making me reconsider. We start 3 WR so we really reward the passing game.

- Receiving TD 6 points
- 1 point for every 10 ReYds
- Rushing TD 6 points
- 1 point for every 10 RuYds

Here's the factors with each:
- Fitz - crazy numbers last year into the playoffs. Q may or may not be gone. Wells may take some Defensive pressure off.
- Gore - a new dedication to the run game by the HC. A new rookie may lighten his load, though.
- Portis - terrible O-line but he's gonna' get the carries. Slightly prima donna.
- Colston - Healthy with Brees throwing bombs.
- Jennings - Rodgers is only going to get better. Still, no running game.

Those are some solid choices but I think you have to roll with Fitz and Gore also.

Trade, trade, trade.

Deal any 2 of Fitz, Gore or Portis for AP or Forte.

If not, it's close but I'll take Gore and Portis. Portis is still a top 10 pick and FItz is not. Why keep Fitz when you wouldn't "draft" him ahead of Portis?

If you can, that trade packaging idea sounds good. If not, Gore and Fitz.

Why keep Fitz if you wouldn't "draft" him over Portis? Because you would, in fact, take Fitz before Portis.

I would take Portis before Fitz. I agree with Bungle. Portis and Gore if you can't make a trade happen.

Please help: viewtopic.php?t=436444

edit -- I meant to say Portis and Gore when I said I agree with Bungle...duh

I think Fitz forsure, but its a toss up between Gore and Portis. Gore might lose a few carries but is younger and a better receiving threat than Portis. Even though I am not the biggest fan of Gore, I would give him the slight edge.

I want to be in your league if you're going to take Fitz over Portis...Gore and Portis are still both surefire first rounders...Fitz is at best late first/early second. I'd probably recommend trying to deal 2 of them for AD or Forte like he suggested.
