From the advice I have gotten so far, I am almost positive I will be taking a WR with my first pick. (We carry over 1 player from the year before so technically its the 2nd round) and I have decided between Moss and Calvin. Got wind that Fitz will be off the board. Who do I take?
It is close but it is more than likely that Moss will ahve a better year. Who is your keeper? If it is an aginf RB then I might lean towards Calvin, actually, I would lean towards going RB if your keeper is a Portis or LT as you may not keep them at the end of the year. But if you have a good young RB as your keeper I would probably go Moss (and pray Brady is back to form)

My keeper is Portis. He is aging and is by no means my long term solution. Here's thing, I would love to go RB, but I am weary of the remaining backs left on the board. My choices would be between Slaton and or Gore and Jacobs. They are all good backs but they all could easily have down years. Jacobs is injury prone and isn't a receiving threat, Gore is always dinged up and plays on a not so good 49er offense, and Slaton is just in his second year and isn't totally proven. He could easily be a second year bust this year. If I go Calvin or Moss I know forsure I am getting a top flight WR and know what I will get out of them each week. I could easily land someone like LJ, Ronnie Brown or maybe even P. Thomas in the next two rounds.

Thoughts?
Personally I would take Gore easily. I would also take Slaton over both Calvin and Moss.

Thanks for the advise, I will definitely consider Gore if he is available but not so sure about Slaton, being only 5'9" and 203 lbs I can't imagine him taking on a full workload again and not getting dinged up.
I'd probably grab Gore as well...if there's one thing Singletary wants to do its run run run. Gore will get plenty of work this year if he's able to stay healthy all season which he's been much more healthy than I would have thought with his knees having been as bad as they were.
I would take Calvin! 1300+ yards and 12 TDs last year playing for the 0-16 Lions! The Lions will be a better team this year so just imagine what he might be capable of!

Calvin could definitely put up monster numbers this year. Daunte will rely on Calvin all the time. I am thinking 1400 and 15 TDs is definitely within reach for this guy. I will defitely have a tough decision to make come draft time.

I'm saying Calvin too. I think you have to consider the age of Moss at this point. It's so hard to gauge him because of last year. But the last guy makes a great point. C.J. had a monster year and Detroit is probably playing from behind more than NE, so the ball should be in the air more. Also, if Pettigrew gets in there the opposing defenses are going to have to account for him giving CJ a bit more freedom?!
Besides this is Brady's comeback. Palmer was pretty good pre-injury. How will Brady's injury mess with his mind?
