Keeper Trade do i do it?

Postby sendzik » Sun May 03, 2009 7:42 pm

In our league you have to keep atleast 4 ppl and up to 6. If u keep 6 you lose your first 2 draft picks of they year if that makes sense. Anyways i plan on Keeping Matt Forte, Michael Turner, Frank Gore, Calvin Johnson, Phillip Rivers, and T.O. Heres where my question comes in. I was offered today Marques Colston and a 2nd round pick for Gore. Do i do this and try to get another stud rb in the draft or pass on the trade?? Its a standard scoring system on yahoo with 10 ppl.

You wouldn't get another stud RB in the draft if everyone is keeping at least 4 people and up to 6 people. Basically...there will be at minimum 40 players off the board which means any hope of a "stud" RB will be long gone. I think you pass on that trade without even thinking twice about it...it's terrible value.

I agree. Keep Gore. He's set to have a big year.

Matt is absolutely correct. Even if you split the diference and everyone averages 5 keepers... That 2nd round pick is actually a 7th.

OK, I'll be the black sheep.

This trade would net you a core lineup of two stud RB1's, three stud WR1's & a top 4 QB. Does trading away Gore mean you then will have only 5 official "keepers"? If so, you'll pick twice in the 2nd round - there ought to be some dandy semi-sleepers there.

I'd make this trade.
