Patriots rb situation

Which rb in NE is worth drafting in 2009? Are they planning on a rbbc? Will Maroney emerge as the number one back?

I'm not sure what they are doing, but I have no faith in Maroney.

It's a team to avoid in regards to RB's. Wild Bill has no issues with anyone getting touches as long as they perform. I fully expect all 4 RB's to get touches and wash each other completely of FF value.

If I was forced to choose 1... shockingly it would be Taylor.

I would stay away from all NE RB's this year. It just seems as if a different guy get the carries every week. The only guy I would consider a taking late in a draft is Fred Taylor. He should be very motivated this year to get a ring. He could be a steal late in the draft.

NE is the new Denver. Way too many capable guys in the mix. My pick would be Taylor out of the bunch personally. The guy has a rediculous work ethic and is sure to push whoever he is up against. He still haveraged 5 ypc something I don't believe Maroney has ever done.

I'd take Sammy Morris over Fred Taylor, but it's close. Who knows?

I really like Fred Taylor too. He offers the same skills Morris does, but I think he'll get the edge and far outperform his draft position.

Maroney needs to be dropped or traded to have any value. I think there are a number of teams he could go to and excel. Like Benson but with more ability.

Taylor is far and beyond the most talented RB on that roster now even at his age and I'd agree that he's the most draftable...although I wouldn't take a chance on him as anything but a late round RB5 or RB6 that won't really hurt you if he doesn't work out.

I concur with the general distaste for Patriots ground-pounders as draft material. However, in several mock drafts Sammy Morris has often wound up right under my nose in a reasonably late round. While this tends to underline the NE RBBC tendency, if confronted with this in a real draft I'd take him. As for Maroney......don't be a moron, eh? LMAO

BTW, guess where the Patriots ex-O-coordinator wound up as head coach? Ayup. Avoid all but Knowshon (in a middle round perhaps).
