What kind of Fantasy season can we expect from him in 2009?

I think that he is a wildcard for the season and his value is going to be very hard to judge. First does KC cut or trade him, and if that happens where does he land? I think he is staying in KC.
Second he has Haley as a coach and we know that he is a passing coach, which isn't his strong suit. However with there current roster I don't see them being a strong passing team, even more so now with Gonzo gone, so he may want to run the ball more.
I can see LJ running for about 1200 yards and 7-8 tds for the season, he should be a quality # 2rb.

My expectations are about the same. Staying in KC with a lot of touches, though not as much as the past couple years. I figure Jamaal Charles should start to increase his role, with LJ getting 8-10 TDs in a more efficient KC offense (the majority of the TDs of the 2 RBs). As long as he can stay healthy...

I like LJ's chances in 2009. With his contract now being non-guaranteed, he has to produce or he will be gone. Jamaal Charles and Kolby Smith aren't much competition for LJ, and would really leave KC shorthanded in their backfield if LJ were traded or released.

So I think he's very secure as KC's #1 RB as long as he stays out of trouble off the field.

Also, there are many in Fantasy circles that mistakenly believe Johnson is injury-prone and worn down. I don't believe this is the case. LJ had two huge workload seasons in 2005 and 2006, but besides that he had virtually no carries his first two years behind Priest Holmes, and very few the last two years because of contract holdout/injuries/suspensions.

And to clarify, Johnson's only injury was a hairline fracture in a toe in 2007, and that injury is completely healed. His knees and shoulders have never sustained any serious injuries his whole career.

I agree with the others above, Johnson is a solid #2 RB for 2009.
