Who is worth drafting, out of the Vikings WR's. And what kind of numbers do you expect. I'm sure this may rely heavily on whether or not they sign Favre.
If they sign Favre then Berrian's value will rise. Harvin is talented but 1st year WR's are risky, especially if you draft in a 12 team league. Shiancoe's value as a TE would rise as well. Otherwise, I wouldn't draft Berrian until a late round (if at all).
Sage Rosenfels is an upgrade over Tavaris Jackson, so I think the Vikings WR's will have a little more value this year. I think that Berrian is the best of the group. He is worth a later round selection.
I see Berrian putting up the best numbers of the wr's and they should be pretty similar to last years. Wade I don't think is worth drafting unless you are in a very deep league. Sydney Rice had a decent rookie season and then had a banged up knee and never really played well last year, I think this is a make or break year for him, I would follow him in training camp and see how he is doing, but he may not be worth drafting either. Shicnaote(sp?) should put up decent number again and may rise some this year and he is a decent te option. Now the real wild card is Harvin. Most rookie wr's don't play that well, but I think they will find ways to get him the ball and have him make some plays, so I think he is worth a draft pick, but he could have one good game and then one game where he doesn't do much.
Regardless of QB, the Vikings WR are WR4 or Wr5's.......the only thing that may tweek one up the list is if you get return yards.....sounds like Harvin will be handling Punt Returns. with the Vikes D should get him an extra 7-10 touches a game.....but I see Harvin as a gadget in the offense....not as a started yr one.....(Berrian and Wade)
Stay away......unless looking for a bye week replacement....
Im actually intrigued by the Vikings passing game this year. Only if Rosefels gets the nod though. I'd draft Berrian as a # 3 with #2 potential but thats as far as Id go right now. Rosenfels is starter quality and has the best RB in the world standing behind him which should let Berrian get open plenty this year. Berrian has consistantly gotten better over the last 3 years and whos been throwing to him? Tavaris Jackson? Gus Ferrote? Rex Grossman! I believe that Rosenfels is better than all of those guys right now. I expect at least a 1000 yd , 7-10 td season out of Berrian.
I have a strong feeling that Favre will sign with the Vikings. The NFL is all about windows of opportunity and those windows don't stay open for very long. Wilf and the Vikings front office know that their time to seriously contend for a Superbowl is NOW. So they will do whatever they need to to get Favre to sign. With Favre running the offense with AP in the backfield they could be a 13-3 team easily, and I am not just saying that because I bleed purple.
With all of that said, the Vikings receivers will be very similar to last year. Even though Favre or Sage will be the QB's the play calling will be very similar to last year. Unfortunately that is just the type of guy Chilly is. Run first, run second and pass later. They aren't going to bring Favre in here to toss the ball 30+ times a game. Just isn't going to happen. I do like Percy Harvin to come in and make an immediate impact. He will be this years version of Royal from the Broncos. They will use him in the slot, in motion, in the backfield etc... He will get his hands on the ball 5+ times a game and will make some highlight reels this year. Berrian will be the go to guy and will post some long TDs again this year. His receptions might boost a bit too. Favre and Sage both can hit their wideouts on quick slants and that is exactly what Bernard is good at. He can beat his guy one on one and creat immediate separation. Sidney Rice is nothing more than a possession receiver and occasional redzone guy. I love Shiancoe this year. He was the hottest TE in the NFL late last year and I believe he will continue to score TDs, especially if Favre comes. (Favre loves the TEs) But if you are seriously thinking of drafting a Vikings wideout remember what the Vikings do, they control the ball with Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor and play solid run defense. They will rarely get into a New Orleans/Arizona type shootout.

Great analysis.
I think Berrian is a WR3, so he is certainly draft-able at the appropriate time.
I too love Shiancoe this year... he has made some pretty bold statements about wanting to be the best TE in the league... players don't always back things like that up, but some do. And like Minnesota Guy said, he was on fire last year. I would love to draft him as a TE2 but I forsee TE1 production from him.
Rice is someone I would keep an eye on and maybe take a late round flyer on if your draft is deep enough... he is a big receiver with loads of potential, but like was said before, this is a make-or-break year for Rice.
Harvin is a guy that I am going to let other people draft, and here's why:
1. He's a rookie. 2. He's not a player that I expect to produce consistent points from a fantasy perspective. He becomes a guy that you can't drop because he is too valuable, but one that you can never start because you have no idea when his big games are going to come... some weeks he will have 9 catches for 108 yards and 4 carries for 45, plus a TD.... other games he puts up 1/9 and 2 for -3. I think he's a very exciting player, but I would rather let some other owner have to use a roster spot on him.

I agree about Harvin. He will have some explosive games but others he could be non existant. But if you can get him as a #3 WR then its worth it because more than likely thats all your going to get out of your #3 guy anyways. If you can get him after the 6th round he will be worth it as a #3 or a flyer on your bench.
