I won my league last season and am now stuck with some bad picks in our rookie draft -- 1.12, 2.12, 3.09, 3.12. I am not too familiar with most of the rookies. Last year I came here for help and was guided to great picks like E. Royal and C. Johnson, so I hope I can get the same great advice for this season's rookie draft.
There are 12 teams in the league. We start 3 WRs, 2 RBs, count receptions and return yards. Most other scoring is standard to Yahoo!. Also we do have IDPs on our rosters, but I don't like the idea of drafting a defensive player during the rookie draft. Let me know if any more info is needed.
My roster: QB - P. Manning, K. Kolb (own rights) RB - C. Johnson, R. Westbrook, L. McClain, W. Dunn, C. Buckhalter, M. Hart (own rights) WR - TJ. Houshmanzadeh, V. Jackson, E. Royal, B. Berrian, M. Jones, M. Bradley, M. Clayton TE - G. Olsen, T. Scheffler K - M. Bryant DP - R. Mathis, K. Dansby, J. Wilson
I am leaning towards grabbing a QB with this pick to eventually replace Manning down the road. I am a little shollow at RB, but most of the better options appear to be off the board already. Any help would be great.
Well, Sanchez would be my pick at QB. He'll take his lumps this upcoming season, but he should be a solid replacement if Peyton retires in the next few years...
Well if you are looking at qb I would go after Stafford, simply because he should have 15tds per year just with Calvin at wr and I think they have surrounded him with some quality right now (K. Smith and Pettigrew). The picks after that are pretty much a crap shoot, but if you don't go with a qb I would look at Iglasis(sp?), he was drafted by Chicago, so to go with Cutler, Forte and Olsen he is stepping into a decent offense. Good luck.
Well my pick is up and Sanchez was taken at 1.11, so it looks like I'll draft Stafford.
dblj9911 - I was looking at Igesias earlier, but didn't think I needed a WR with this pick. I hope that he does fall to me in the second round, but I doubt that will happen.
I'll be back for more help when my next picks are up.
That is a tough spot to be in. I think I would draft the best RB/WR available. If you take Stafford remember next years QB draft class should be very deep. You can get much better value next year at that position. Robiskie etc.
It is a toss up between Sanchez and Stafford. You are basically guessing as to whether each will succeed. If I had to draft a QB I would go with Stafford.

Let me preface this by saying that Donald Brown dropping to #7 is just downright stupid...I don't think there's any reason McCoy, Harvin, or Maclin should have gone before him.
That being said...I'm not a huge fan of any of the QBs in this draft and I think your roster could do with a solid RB prospect as you don't have a lot of solid guys there. I'd look at guys like James Davis (CLE), Andre Brown (NYG), and even Glen Coffee (SF) as potential guys to look at. Davis landed in a great spot in Cleveland where he only has Jamal Lewis to beat out for some touches...and if Lewis looks like he did last season, that won't be tough. Everyone knows how often Brandon Jacobs seems to get hurt and Brown has a legitimate chance to get some serious time both while Jacobs is healthy and especially if and when he gets hurt. Coffee has himself in a solid situation as well, Frank Gore doesn't have the best health history and his other competition is DeShaun Foster who hasn't exactly been stellar in this league.
