Singer Jimmy Buffett is becoming a Dolphins partner in a deal that will name the team's stadium after his beer.

MIAMI -- The Miami Dolphins are renaming their home Landshark Stadium as part of a partnership with singer Jimmy Buffett.

Buffett's Margaritaville enterprise includes Landshark Lager, which is brewed by Anheuser-Busch.

Buffett and new Dolphins owner Stephen Ross are friends, and they plan to unveil a new logo for the stadium at a private event Friday. Buffett also will perform a song inspired by the Dolphins.

The stadium, which has lacked a corporate sponsor for several years, will be the site of the Super Bowl for the fifth time in February.

The name change from Dolphin Stadium is the fifth since the stadium opened in 1987. It's also home to the University of Miami football team and Major League Baseball's Florida Marlins.

Landshark Stadium. That's pretty badass. Although it certainly doesn't roll off the tongue like University of Phoenix Stadium.

Everyone knows the real leader of the Landsharks home team is Chad 'Cap' Pennington.

Love the name. Miami should change the Phins{ to the LandSharks.

I love the name, too. While this is still a marketing deal, at least it is not the Napa Auto Parts Stadium or the Food Lion Park.

The name has some teeth to it that is for sure. I like it.
