Broncos sign free agent RB Walker to be part of backfield mix
Associated Press

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The Denver Broncos have signed free agent running back Darius Walker.

Denver announced the deal on Friday.

Walker signed with the Houston Texans as a free agent in 2007 and played four games, rushing for 264 yards on 58 carries and catching 13 passes for 81 yards.

He dressed for five games with the Texans last season but did not play before joining St. Louis' practice squad for a week on Nov. 4. He rejoined Houston's practice squad on Nov. 25, finishing the season with the Texans.

The Broncos took running back Knowshon Moreno in the first-round of last month's draft. Denver has also signed veterans J.J. Arrington, Correll Buckhalter and LaMont Jordan this offseason.

Man. This situation is so muddled now. Not that this guy has any chance of playing but it adds to the confusion. Its like Denver thinks that losing 6 rb's is an every year occurance. MAybe they are not happy with some of the vets they signed.
