Keeper and Draft Position. DWill, MB3, PThomas WHIR

Postby FALACIDA » Sat May 09, 2009 5:08 pm

I have an idea what im going to do but just want to get a couple opinions. I have the third option of draft pick position and can keep 3 players. We start 2 rbs , 2 wr , 1 qb , 1te , 1 flex. The question is should I stay at 3 and try to get MJD and have a nice RB core or drop to the end of the 1st rd and try to grab 2 stud WR's and basically ride that RB core but try to draft maybe thier rbbc or other options throughout. I drafted Brady in the 1st last year so I am not looking QB early. By the way this is not my first post just a new name. ANy help would be appreciated and I believe im pretty knowledgable as far as FF goes so ill try to answer any queastions. Thanks.

These three im most likely keeping.

DeAngelo Williams (Give up 4th rd pick)
MB3 (5th rd)
Pierre Thomas (10th rd)

Brandon Marshall (6th)
Eddie Royal (10th)

OK so help me understand your question.... you can keep up to three, but if you don't keep your full three players, you get a compensatory pick at the end of the first? And you have the 1.3 regardless?

Is your draft a rookie AND free agent draft, or are there separate drafts?

Your Brady comment puzzled me... is you won't take a QB early because Brady burned you by getting hurt?

Does your league award PPR?

If you can clear up a few things for me I have some ideas....

please take a stab at mine -- thanks... viewtopic.php?t=436670

Its a redraft with each team being able to keep 3 from the previous year. Non PPR. I have the 3rd pick but I have the option of taking any other draft position thats open instead. So if I wanted to draft at 12 I could move back. I give up draft picks for my keepers and i posted the rounds which i give up in the previous post. If we dont keep the 3 players we can we dont get any extras we just lose that player. Also we can keep players up to 3 years. This will be my last year with MB3 and 1st year with DWill and Thomas. 2nd year with Marshall and 1st year with Royal if I choose to go that route. Standard scoring. Oh and yes Brady burned me so I will not be drafting QB early. That was the first year I ever took a QB early and it did not work out well.
