1.01 poll...come on vote, ya know you want to

Allright everyone loves a poll... some of you may be sick of my 1.01 dilemma but I am just as confused as ever so vote.

The only thing I am looking for out of the 1.01 is the best RB2 I can get at the best price.

Who do you have already? Crabtree isn't an option? You don't trade 1.1 for an aging rb so Westbrook and Portis are out of the question.

This is very tough because you have 3 guys to choose from and all should succeed in the NFL. My first thought is how much Denver and NE backs screwed in the past. Moreno was drafted early and before some more pressing needs. But is Denver going to give him the Rock 20 times a game with that stable of RB's? I just can't see it. But if it happens Denver's Oline is better than AZ hands down and he could go off. Shanny is gone so who knows but I feel this guy coming from NE is going to use the stable vs 1 back.

I think Beenie Wells is in the best position right now. Hightower sucks plain and simple. Call it the O line if you may but I think this guy is a backup at best. Its obvious that when Edge got demoted that it was personal. Edge was the better back and proved it in the playoffs. I think Beenie threatens Hightower immediately then takes the job quickly.

Bam! You got your #2 starter.

With Brown you probably have to wait at least a year before he takes significant carries from Addai but he will take the job eventually and is much better suited for the Colts style. If you need a guy now then he is out. Its really a crapshoot.

Good Luck! ;-D

I seem to be one of the few anymore that is still big on Moreno. I think he was easily the most talented RB in this draft and if you watched him at all in college you'll probably know what I mean when I say that he just is one of those guys that has "it" to where he just looks like he is the best player out there every time out. He has fantastic vision and while he isn't Chris Johnson fast or anything, he has good quickness and elusiveness while still having the ability to break through tackles.

I've said this before but I think that Moreno is the guy they're going to plan on building this team around to be the "face" of the organization just like guys like LT have been for teams in the past and even currently with other guys like ADP. This is the kind of RB that has the ability to be a workhorse back for years to come and if you think any of those mediocre RBs they have on roster are going to be a legitimate threat to his touches to the point of hurting his value then I think you're just plain mistaken. It's not like he's in a crowded backfield with talented guys...these are all rejects of other teams and mediocre runners while Moreno has the talent to becomes something special.

As good as it may look situation wise for Wells in Arizona...that is a situation that somewhat puts me off to be honest. It's a pass heavy team with a mediocre defense, mediocre offensive line, and an aging QB that will certainly not be there much longer. What this means to me is that they'll still be pass heavy the next couple seasons while Warner is there...they are just built to be so and their defense somewhat forces them to be as well most times. And then when Warner retires what happens? They start leaning on Wells then without a QB to keep defenses honest? I don't know, for me, I'm just not crazy thrilled about Arizona as being as "great" a landing place as some people. They had one of the worst rushing attacks in the league last year...that's not all the RBs, that means their offensive line couldn't open up the holes to break their runners free.

Just my thoughts though.

Thanks Matt, always value your opinion. Both situations spook me a bit, thus my confusion with this pick. I don't trust Denver or McDaniels to make any RB the 70% guy. I don't trust Wells to get enough work to be a huge fantasy relevance. Moreno is getting the edge right now as it is a full PPR dynasty league and Beanie just doesn't catch any balls.

In most cases I would draft Crabtree at 1.01. Since you have great depth at WR and need a RB, if I were you I would go with Wells. I may be in a minority but I like Wells over Moreno. He's bigger, and is playing on a better team. Plus, it's hard to tell what is going to happen or what type of offense you're going to get with Moreno and Denver.

I think Wells has a quicker impact. Wisenhunt is going to use Wells to kills games. The only draw back to Wells is he seems higher risk to injury. I'd take Wells over getting Westbrook and Portis, both those guys will annoy you with their injuries. Also, Not sure if you do a cap but keeping your 1.01 pick I would assume is cheaper than both Westy and Portis.

For your situation, I'd go Wells.

I actually like the Westy and pick combo. You fall back a little to get a RB who makes you a contender right away- which presumably is what you want, since you're even considering this. On top of that, you get a pick upgrade.

I'm with mattb47- Moreno is the way to go, if you choose to keep it.
