I know it's already done, but I don't know about that trade. I would have tried to stay in the top 3 and would have gotten a younger WR than Housh. But, you should still get Donald Brown at #4. I hope it works out in the end ;-D

Actually I ended up getting Moreno at 1.04. Guy at 1.03 took Brown. So its all good Trade was actually Housh and Moreno for Wells and McGahee. So I ended up better in the deal. I got my number 3 wr now.

In re-draft leagues where the draft snakes, a lower draft slot will pick sooner in the 2nd round. The 1.03 pick is typically better than the 1.02 pick for this reason because you can get a player on the same tier (and almost equal ability) at 1.03 as at 1.02, and then choose one slot earlier at 2.10 vs. 2.11 in the second round.

In dynasty leagues however, the draft is 'NFL style' where managers pick with the same pick each round. So why is #3 the best rookie pick this year? You're picking AFTER the #1 and #2 in every round.

The reason I say the #3 pick is the best to have is because you are guaranteed one of the elite rookies IMO. I would personally be happy with either Wells, Moreno or Crabtree. So, it basically takes the pressure off making the wrong choice. I also have advised if you have the #1 or #2 rookie pick to trade down to #3 and acquire more picks or players. I was not refering to later rounds, just the first round when i said that I think the 3rd pick is the best pick

You made out OK in getting Housh and Moreno.

For what it's worth, my top 5 are:

1. Crabtree
2. Wells
3. Moreno
4. Green
5. Brown/Hicks

I love Crabtree and I'm not as high on Brown as other are. If I was sitting at #5 I'd consider taking Hicks over Brown.

I don't see why that would be a choice at #5, I like Nicks as much as the next guy, but you can get a guy like Iglesias in the 2nd at that same spot who has just as high of a ceiling as Nicks does, yet there won't be a RB like Brown around for the rest of the draft, that's the reason people lean towards those RB's earlier.

Brown isn't flashy so people aren't in love with him, but his workout numbers and college production make him a very interesting prospect and I think he'll overtake Addai pretty soon...Even if not, most would take a committee back in that high scoring offense.
