GM to announce dealer closings...

In another economic downswing GM plans to publicly announce plans to shut down 1,100 dealerships across the country. This comes on the heels of plant closures that have already had a fairly devastating impact on our St Louis area to just name one region impacted by these shutdowns. This is not good news...

Chrysler just shut down a lot as well

...not good news at all, but if that's what it takes for them to remain viable, then it's better than an outright collapse...Bankruptcy should be coming soon...cant wait to see how well that works out. just hoping i still have a job when it all settles, and really feel for those that wont

i already just found out that due to the extended summer shutdown of most GM/Chrysler plants as of June 1st i get to work only 4 days a week and take a 20% pay cut ...no word on how long it will last, but sounds like at least through the end of July since that will be around when we start to see some revenue again
