Rookie Draft 1.2 and 1,5

Postby kevarcen » Fri May 15, 2009 11:37 pm

What are some ideas for my picks this year. I have 1.2 and 1.5 and do not have another until round 3.
I am thinking at 1.2 taking the left overs from Moreno/Wells and at 1.5 Green or McCoy . Any other suggestions.

Reggie Wayne, Greg Jennings, Steve Breaston, Donnie Avery, Devin Hester, Josh Morgan

Titans D/ST

You strategy sounds strong. Don't forget Greene is already 24 years-old.

If it were me I may be taking Crabtree at the 1.2 pick. The main reason being I'm not really high on any of the rb's that are available this year. If anything I think that Moreno will play the best and put up some big numbers in what should be a high powered offense. I do think that Crabtree is and was the top rated offensive player on many peoples draft boards (well besides Oakland) and he has the highest ceiling of anyone. With your roster I think that you are solid at both rb and wr, but your # 1wr Wayne is getting a little older and Crabtree will start from day one, much like Calvin Johnson and should put up quality numbers early and only improve each year.
With your 1.5 pick if Green is there I would go after him, once T.Jones is gone he should get goal line carries, Washington won't steal them from him. Good luck.

Agreed with DBL

I would target Crabtree then either Brown, Green or McCoy at the 1:5 spot. Crabtree looks to be a sure bet in the NFL.

Moreno scares me a bit in Denver with their 7 RB's. I think the new coach might do it different than Crabtree but why stockpile so many RB's? As dead weight? I don't think so. I believe they will all play a role with no one RB getting over 20 carries.

Beanie is in the best spot to get 20 carries a game now.

If I were to Rank the other 3 RB's you will be choosing from I would go Brown (hands down), Green and McCoy (Green is in a better situation to start soon but is already old at 24)

You are pretty solid at Rb. I would take Crabtree at #2. Then at 5, in order I would take D. Brown, Mccoy, S. Greene

I've go an offer to get L. Washington, R. Williams, and picks 5.4 and 5.5
give R. Wayne and 3.2 and 3.5

Seems pretty good to me what do you guys think. I also get to keep the 1.2 and 1.5
The draft is a rookie and FA draft. I would have 1.2,1.5, 5.4, and 5.5.
No middle round picks

Turn that trade down. That is a bad deal. It is not worth downgrading WR and draft picks to pick up a third string Rb. I call Washington a third string back because he will proably be behind Thomas Jones and S. Greene on the depth chart.

I don't like that trade with Washington going to be a career backup/RBBC if he stays in New York. Reggie Wayne's still got a couple of years left in the tank and those 3rd round picks are worth a lot more than the 5th rounders this year.

No matter the format, you can never have enough good running backs. They are the lifeblood of fantasy football.

At 1.02, take the left overs from Moreno/Wells. At 1.05, I'd go with McCoy in a PPR league and Shonn Greene otherwise.

Another Crabtree lover here. Take him 1.02 and then who you like best of the remaining RBs at 1.05.
