Bucs one of two teams interested in veteran WR Burress

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made contact with free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress to gauge his offseason progress, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The conversation was explained as exploratory and that the call focused mainly on Burress' well-being.

The Buccaneers declined to comment when reached by phone Thursday.

June 15th is the date I believe when Plaxico finds out if he's going to get jail time.
He would be a nice addition to the Jets but Bucs might be able to offer him more cash.

Depending on any jail time, he could definitely help out either of those teams considerably. Should be interesting to see what unfolds.

Even if he doesn't get jail time he will surely get suspended some games for his conduct. Don't know when that will be levied but guess we will see what happens. He is still always going to be a cancer. Much like TO. The guy just has an attitude that causes problems amongst the team. If he can change his attitude he could make some good money.
