New 12 team H2H Yahoo scoring but All TDs=6 plus PPR=1 League in initial draft.
I AM on the clock.
So far, here is my roster: QBs Matt Schaub David Garrard Kurt Warner Kyle Orton RBs Frank Gore Maurice Jones Drew Deangelo Williams D. Ward J. Norwood WRs Roddy White Desean Jackson Matt Jones TEs Greg Olsen
It is obvious my next pick needs to be a WR, right?
Here are my best adjudged available non-rookie players: Hixon Gage Chambers Jenkins (already got White) J. Lewis R. Williams C. Taylor S. Morris
Who would you take?
2011 FFB Totals Terrible at everything, and a liar.
People forget Chambers had 5 TDs in his first 5 games last year. Then did nothing after getting injured. He is 30 and could disappear quick, but really any of those WRs are gambles. None are going to be PPR studs.
I don't like any of those RBs. Especially since you don't need the depth for this year given they are all over the hill RBs.
I guess I would take Chambers. I like Hixon a lot. He would be my second choice. But I don't know if the team really believes in him so he's a risk and you need a surer bet given you have Matt Jones as your #3.
If the R. Williams in the list is indeed Roy Williams, the Dallas WR -- then I say take him.
If it's Ricky Williams, the Dolphins RB -- then no.
I'm assuming all the rookie picks are done in a later draft...how about trying a sophomore WR like Devin Thomas of the Redskins or Harry Douglas of the Falcons. From what I hear both those guys have a chance to win a starting WR job in camp.
Douglas is a better pick than Jenkins in a Dynasty league imo...Jenkins has had his shot and he's just not all that good...
And, since I already have Roddy White, and will probably need to start whatever WR I pick now, I am hesitant to take Douglas or Jenkins since I don't want to start two WRs from the same team unless they are named Fitz and Boldin.
Anyone else have any ideas?

If Rookies can't be drafted: Ted Gin, MIA Mark Clayton, BAL Miles Austin, DAL Deion Branch, SEA Jordy Nelson, GB Devin Hester, CHI Sydney Rice, MIN Chris Henry, CIN Earl Bennett, CHI Hixon, NYG
I think you have to pick who is left from that list who you like the best. All are young and have huge upside(outside of Branch, but I think he is super under rated coming back from injury)
Rolling the dice with Plax might be worth the risk. Still tough to say what the league will do with him, but considering the value left on the board he could be a steal. He'll have his gun trial in a couple of weeks. If he gets no jail time, he could be with a team for training camp. There's lots of teams kicking his tires.
After that, I'd day Devin Thomas of the Redskins and Miles Austin of the Cowboys are options. Any way you cut it, if you're hoping for a starter at this point, Burress is your best bet from a talent standpoint. Not much sense grabbing a guy that might get you 50 catches, 600 yards max. Burress can double those numbers potentially...
I think Austin gives you a steady #3 with upside. He is less of a gamble than Hixon. I am not convinced the Giants trust Hixon. I think the Cowboys believe in Austin. Similar situations, better fantasy QB in Dallas and arguably less competition.
Thomas has the most talent/pedigree, but he is seems further away from putting it together on the field. I think you need someone who can start now, and that is not Thomas.
