Randy Moss for M Turner?

Postby kingfisch » Thu May 28, 2009 5:04 pm

Hey guys, I have the opportunity to grab Michael Turner in exchange for Randy Moss in a 10-team, variable keeper league (will lose 1st round draft choice for Moss or Turner or Barber, can only keep 1). Or I sit with what I have and keep Barber as my top RB. What do you see as my best option here?

Passing TD 4pts + bonus over 50 yds
RUSH/REC 6pt + bonus over 50 yards
PPR

Roster
Qb-Warner, Pennington-(dropping both)
RB- Marion Barber(?), Marshawn Lynch(keeper), Jamal Lewis, Sammy Morris-dropping
WR- Moss(?), Brandon Marshall(keeper), Deshawn jackson (Keeper), Colston, Eddie Royal-dropping

Current Keepers- Brandon Marshall(lose 12th round pick, Lynch(lose 4th rounder), Jackson (lose 14th rounder), BARBER?MOSS? or TURNER? -lose 1st rounder.

Thanks I will respond .

Well right off the bat I'm taking Turner over anyone on your team, their offense should be improved with everyone being there for a second year and the addition of Gonzo. If I'm losing a 1st rd pick the only sure person that should go in the first rd is Turner, I wouldn't give up a 1st for the other two.
Second, why are you dropping Colston and keeping Jackson? Good luck.

Our league has 3 tiers of keepers and If I was to keep Colston I would have to give up a 1st rounder for him, Jackson is only worth a 14th.

So, if you trade for Turner you will lose your first round pick in order to keep him. I would do this trade immediatly. Turner is a top 3 pick in most leagues, so the value is fine.

Yeah Turner over Moss or Barber pretty easily.

Even with Brady coming back and Moss ready to go after numbers similar to 2 years ago? I dont think MOSS/BRADY will equal that again but MOSS should have a very good year...better than Turner? Which lineup below looks best in your eyes?

potential keepers
LYNCH
D JACKSON
B MARSHALL
MOSS

LYNCH
TURNER
D JACKSON
B MARSHALL

Team 2 easily. If you deal Turner you have to draft RB/RB just to get though the first few weeks with the probable Lynch suspension. Drafting a starting RB/RB in essentially the 5th and 6th rounds is not a position I would want to be in.
