my league keeps 2 players and you get to keep them in the round they were drafted in last year. no ppr. all TDs are 6 pts, 10 yards ru/re=1, and 50 yard pass=1.my leftovers from last year and the round i would get them in:
Fitzgerald (2) Boldin(3) Bush (4) Roddy White (6) Pierre Thomas (8) A.Bryant (8)
i think i'll be drafting #8, snake draft so #13 on the way back.Remember 20 players will be kept, but not always the best 20, because we can only keep players once. (top available talent in the draft is:AP, Turner, Westbrook, Gore, SJax, Barber, Portis, Lynch,Manning, Brees, Moss, AJ, Fitz(?), also would be interested to hear opinions on what positions you would target in the draft based on the keepers and talent available. if you think any of these are good trade-bait, we can trade for draft picks or players or to move up/down in the draft. thank for any input.
Roddy and Pierre are your best values but I would keep Roddy and Fitz. Tough not to have a RB kept but I would not keep Bush or Pierre over the 2 WR's I mentioned.
I would keep white and thomas due to the value in the position you drafted them in. Then grab the BAP in the first two rounds. You may get fitz back at that time.
i was leaning towards White and Pierre just because of the value they produce. Fitz might be there at my #8 or #13 pick and if not then AJ or moss would be.... unless i could trade down in the second to move up in the 1st round. then Fitz becomes a late 2nd round keeper which is better and i get a higher round 1 choice. hmmm.
also concerned about keeping 2 WRs b/c then my best RB option @ #8 might be a Lynch or LJ somebody like that who im not big on this year.
I will preface this by saying I am usually a RB fan......
But in these cases you have to go with the value: I would keep and Why.
Fitz - Best talent - will be a late first early second, so your breaking even.....
R White - For that value a steal.....you have two top WR....
Draft RB/RB/Rb/RB........
Why not the others Bush and Thomas, Rb by committee - going to be lots of these so can grab one of equal Val...unless you really luv a certain team....
Boldin - enough questions....but when he plays regardless will be a solid #2...but the other two are better values.....I would grab if still there after you get 1 or 2 rb's.....
Fantasy Football is changing....with all the Rb by committee, WR are becoming dominant...lock down two of the top ones and take your chances......
I'd go Roddy (a steal!) and Pierre for best value.
Here's my guess at what rounds each is valued in for a 10 team league:
Fitzgerald (2) ~~ 1st/2nd Boldin(3) ~~ 3rd Bush (4) ~~5th Roddy White (6) ~~ 3rd Pierre Thomas (8) ~~ 4th A.Bryant (8) ~~ 5th/6th
In your league Fitz would probably go right at the turn if he was thrown back, so you're not gaining much there, whereas keeping Roddy and Pierre is somewhat like having extra picks in rounds 3 and 4 (minus 2 later round picks). You may even get Fitz back with the #13 pick if you're lucky. Depends if you value the gain from the 13th overall pick to the 10th overall vs the gain from the 8th round to the 4th.

i agree with this totally but i think thats all the more reason to have my picks #8 and #13 to try to get a workhorse RB. there arent many anymore and i think fantasy teams that lock one down will have a big advantage...i think my best move is to try to move up in the draft to ensure i can get one. Im definitely keeping Roddy and i'll prob try to trade whatever else it takes to move up a few spots in the first round, and then keep whatever i have left.

I think that this is excellent analysis -- you have to weigh value as well as talent and potential production.
I too would keep Thomas and White. And I would still take BPA at 8 and 13.

OK, it is a small keeper but you have 20 players being kept and he is drafting 8th. Very, very little chance that Fitz will be available at pick 28. Keep him.
