Kyle Orton. Yep that's right. He showed plenty of potential to me in Chicago. But he had no one to throw to, and the Bears ran the Hell out of the football. Now he has a plethra of young , brilliant Wide Receivers, and a top 5 TE to throw to. I have been snagging him, pretty late in drafts, obviously. I've been drafting him as a back up to my starter, with the hopes that he proves me right.
Hopefully, I'm kind of pulling for him for the Broncos for the sake because I think Cutler just punked out... but for someone going late to undrafted in some leagues I think it wouldn't hurt spending some time in him as a back-up. Especially in case some things go array early in the season he would offer some sort of help *cough* Brady's knee *cough*
Well he may not be technically top 5, but Tony Scheffler was a pretty legit TE when he was connecting with Cutler. I'm assuming that's who he meant and while he may not be Tier 1 (Tony G, Witten, Gates)... you can make a legitimate case he's solid Tier 2 even though he doesnt get much pub.
everything you've used to justify you're Orton makes my sleeper even better: Shaun Hill. he's got a new O-line, Franklin Deleanor Gore, Bruuuuce and Crabtree. Now, if he can only stay healthy.
I like S. Hill too, but to be completely honest... it's pretty much even money with these guys. They're 15-16-undrafted guys so if you get any value out of them you are doing great. So, say all the positives but there are obviously some negatives or they would actually be getting some recognition. Good luck guys... but keep your expectations manageable.
