I got a new guy in a league that needs WR's pretty bad. I think I can move up a few slots in the rookie draft and get Forte from him. Question is, who would you keep Eddie Royal or DeSean Jackson? Its a PPR Dynasty league and Royal outscored Jackson by over 40 points last season. And considering the QB situation, I still think Royal has great value. I think Orton is a very capable QB and will be a strong performer as will Royal with all those weapons. Chicago never gave their QB's weapons the last few years.
However, Jackson is going to put up better numbers I think this year and McNabb can certainly throw, and Reid will throw the ball, we know that. The other thought I had was keep them both and Trade Bowe, but he's the only guy the Chiefs got. Here's my roster, thanks for the help.
QB-Brees, Ryan RB-Westbrook, MJD, Slaton, Felix Jones WR-Andre Johnson, White, Bowe, DeSean Jackson, Royal, Curtis TE-Scheffler
Royal is worth a lot lot more in a PPR. He has a legit chance to break 100 receptions, not necessarily this year but in the future. DeSean will be lucky to sniff 80 one time in his career, and IMO Maclin is better suited to fit that go-to role. Both are really good to have, but if you're getting the same return for them, I'd keep Royal.
If your target is Forte, you might have to pay Roddy White value. But you have so much depth it might turn ok. Actually if anyone's opps might go down this year, it is White. Gonzo is there, and a more mature Ryan will be able to spread the ball around better.
IF you are after Forte is a PPR deep keeper league it should cost you a fortune. Maybe, maybe get him for AJ but I would turn you down. NO sense in flippping MJD for Forte, about equal.
If I was fairly well off at RB and needed WR help I may consider dealing Forte for White AND Bowe or maybe Slaton AND Bowe.
DeSean and Royal unless you pair with one of your top 3 ain't close to getting Forte.

I agree with Thrifty. Royal is much better in a PPR. I saw a lot of talent in him last year and feel he should be close to last year in production even with Orton.
If you can get Forte on top of what you have that would be a devastating team. You have the depth to do it.

Marshall is the #1 receiver in Denver for the foreseeable future and I believe that Cutler's departure will hurt their passing game.
Maclin played his entire career in the slot at Mizzou, so if they ever do move him outside, he'll need some time to adjust. This means that he is not a threat to challenge DeSean for #1 anytime soon.
Also, the Eagles are still a pass first offense. The Broncos may rely more heavily on the run now that they have Moreno.

Keep DeSean.
Haha. Yeah, either could sophomore slump. I agree the dropoff from Cutler hurts Royal's upside. I actually think Denver still passes a lot - that is the offense McDaniels created in NE, that is what they will try to do in Denver. I still see a lot of upside in Royal.
Brandon Marshall is the #1 as long as McDaniels wants him in Denver. That might only be 2009 because he is a free agent in 2010. If he doesn't fit the NE-West professional vibe they are shooting for, he will not get the money he wants.
Royal fits perfectly the Wes Welker role McDaniels created in NE. Orton's arm is much softer than Cutler (as well as many other normal citizens) leading to lots of short underneath passes where Royal excelled last year.
DeSean is a playmaker. I just don't think he'll ever be a #1 WR.

Well, he's not real interested in Westbrook. So now we're at the point where I inquired about what it would take to move up to his 1.05 rookie pick. He said he'd take my 2.11 and Roddy White. While I hate to lose Roddy, I still have Andre Johnson, Bowe, Royal, DeSean, Curtis and it gives me 3 picks in rd 1 (1.05, 1.08 & 1.11). So I'm seriously considering it, though I'd like to move up just a touch more to secure a solid RB and nab another WR. What do you guys think?

So you are talking about trading away a young stud WR for an unproven Greene/McCoy type? No way -- you can do better than that.
I agree with the other posters to use your depth and put together a few players for an upgrade at RB or a higher pick.

Thank you, that's the reality check I needed, very good point.
