I'm number 12 (defending champ) so just picking best on the board Currently have: Brees QB Lynch RB (Ward/Steward for first 3 games) Gore RB Colston WR Cotchery WR (S. Moss also) B. Marshall WR (yea... full season without suspension?) Cooley TE UTIL - (Moss/Ward/Steward combination)
We are currently on the #11 pick, so someone will be gone. So, with the last pick of the 1st round... do you select: Nicks/Stafford/Robiskie/HeyWard- Bey/Britt...... Thoughts? Thanks in advance...
I would go Nicks, but if he is gone I would take Stafford. He is not a huge need because you have Brees, but he would be the best available player on the board.
I would go Robiskie, thinking of those guys biggest help this year.....Most ready to play......
Not a Nicks fan.....to much Micheal Williams in him for my taste.....big slow guys don't make it..... Stafford.....Rookie Qb's never do much.....even the "great" years by Ryan and Flacco last year were subpar from Fantasy standpoints.

You make valid points, but this is a dynasty league. Robiskie might be the most NFL ready guy now, but Nicks and Stafford have a much higher ceiling. I don't think that you can expect the 12th pick in the rookie to be a starter in your fantasy lineup. so I feel you take the guy that has the highest ceiling and will help you in the future.
I agree with TruNiner when picking at #12 in a rookie draft you aren't expecting to get a starter, but you want to add quality depth to your team that will pay off down the road. I think Nicks could be a quality wr in NY and would be a great pick for you. Stafford if he isn't killed in Detroit in his first season behind there offensive line then he has a huge upside, they have a top 5wr now, a good young rb and also drafted a quality young te, so he has the weapons and should play well. I'm not a fan of Bay, one the team he is on and two he never produced in college, so why is he going to change in the pros? Robiskie is the most polished of all of them, but we will see what happens in Cleveland, I just don't see a huge upside on him. I'd take Nicks then Stafford. good luck.
With an obviously successful team you're in a good position to take the guy with the highest ceiling as he falls to you. I still think Brees has 4 elite seasons in him, so I may not be as prone to go after Stafford... maybe wait pick up Sanchez or wait a year or two when Bradford and other elite QBs come out. Right now, with your team and what's left I'd go after WR... and while Robiskie is the surer bet this season (still MAYBE 5-6 ppg won't get him in your starting lineup consistently), Nicks definitely has the upside with his situation and his skills set. If it was me, it would be Nicks.

(Along with Brees, I have Flacco & Delhomme... (Plus D. Anderson on a 3 year... crap!) So it's Stafford/Bey/Robiskie....
Leaning to Stafford or Robiskie.... I'm on the clock...so final thoughts are appreciated...
I would go with Stafford, as you could develop him into your starter as the Lions should do. Spot times if you have to but for the most part, in 2 years he'll be good to go. imo Delhomme and Anderson can be let go asap and keep some young guys in the wings for Brees...
