I am relatively new to Fantasy football entering my second year in a Keeper League. I need help with trades. Recently, through RFA, I tried to win Heath Miller, but was unsuccessful. This interest lead to trade talk with the other owner. He is interested in Brady, Pat Willis, and Vernon Davis. The players on his team I am interested in are Stephen Jackson, Dustin Keller, Heath Miller, Gary Brackett, and Michael Lewis. I have three picks in the top 13 and dont know what to do.
Help please!
Here is my roster:
Brady, Tom NEP QB (P) - Brennan, Colt WAS QB - Jackson, Brandon GBP RB - White, LenDale TEN RB - Jones, Matt FA WR - - Meachem, Robert NOS WR Nelson, Jordy GBP WR - Porter, Jerry FA WR - - Smith, Steve NYG WR - Davis, Vernon SFO TE - Watson, Ben NEP TE - Crosby, Mason GBP PK - Carriker, Adam STL DT - Dorsey, Glenn KCC DT - Harvey, Derrick JAC DE - Seymour, Richard NEP DE - Durant, Justin JAC LB - Johnson, Derrick KCC LB - Morrison, Kirk OAK LB - Spencer, Anthony DAL LB - Willis, Patrick SFO LB - Woodley, LaMarr PIT LB - Hall, Leon CIN CB - Jenkins, Mike DAL CB Landry, LaRon WAS S
As much as you need a RB, I don't think I would do this trade. This trade would leave you with no Qb and honestly I think Brady might be your only shot to win any games this year. You would also be losing the possible #1 IDP and a TE who I think might break out this year.
At #1 I would go Moreno and at #5 take whoever is left from Wells, D. brown, McCoy and Crabtree. At #13, take the best available player.
Yea, while you need all the help you can get at this point, build for the future without giving up your one shot at victory. While it may not pay off initially, if you can get guys like Moreno and Crabtree to develop around Brady, you might have more trade bait or some more talent to help you compete.
I also would not make the trade ..He wants ur best players ...No way... I would go for what I call the rookie draft trifecta..taking a RB..WR and a QB 1-easy - Moreno 5-Crabtree -Maclin- Harvin..whoever is left in that order 13-Sanchez or Freeman ..whoever is left in that order I would not worry about a TE ...Davis may bounce back some this year and you can still take a flier on a rookie later in the draft.. You are not going to win anyway this year.. Build for the future in the draft......go for the trifecta early and then try to find some IDP gems later

I 100% agree
The key to a winning season is focusing on one opponent at a time. Winning one week at a time. Never look back and never look ahead. Chuck Noll
