help w/ draft strategy.....WHIR

i have the #6 and #12, #26 picks in a 10 team, 2 player keeper league. (players only kept 1 year) My keepers will be Roddy White and Deangelo Williams. Was wondering who you guys would target in the draft (positions, players). Would you consider Manning or Brady at #12? im guessing RB at #6, but would like a AJ or Peyton at #12, and a WR at 26

Here's the top players available:
MTurner, SJax, LT, AJ, Moss, Gore, Westy, Portis, Wayne, Brady, Barber, Jennings, SSmith, Colston, Peyton..

edit: AP is also available, im sure he'll go #1. No ppr. all TDs are 6 pts, 10 yards ru/re=1, 50 yards passsing=1.

Here's how I'd rank them 1-12 based on what you gave me... anything else you'd have to tell inform me...

MTurner, SJax, LT, Gore, AJ, Moss, Portis, Westy, Wayne, SSmith, Jennings, Barber, Colston, Brady, Peyton

This can chancge based on PPR or not slightly with guys like AJ, SSmith, and Westy getting added value. But that's what I think. Since you're keeping some young guys like Roddy and DWill you should be OK to go after best available but I would only go after a guy like Brady if and only if higher tier RB/WR are completely gone. You should be able to get a nice RB/WR core if you play your cards right.

thanks, what do you think about taking a QB at #12 since i think Brady or Manning will be available, but Rivers, Rodgers, Warner, Brees, Ryan are all being kept and there are not too many other QBs id want to get stuck with this year (Im not big on Romo, cutler, Mcnabb, Eli, etc), especially with 6 pt passing TDs.

Why would Manning and Brady be available, but the others you mentioned not be? Are those teams that stacked?? In the case you are mentioning, I would look to add one of them -- probably Manning just because I'd be nervous of how Brady will bounce back from his injury.

Otherwise, I think you have a good strategy already in play for this draft. Good luck!

I always take RB/WR before because I think a guy like Ryan will perform more closely to Brady/Manning than a lower tiered WR would perform compared to Jennings, etc. Ideally I see you getting a RB first and then RWayne or Jennings type of guy at 12. Even at 6 pts / TD, its also only 1pt/50 yards instead of 25 so ya lose some points there. Everyone always wants a top tier QB but if you can line up DWill/LT and White/Jennings, Ryan would fit right in and add some support while your whole WR/RB core suffers only taking one of either.

Brady and Peyton will be available because they were kept last year and players can only be kept once.

thanks for the input guys.
