In an ultra-competitive H2H money dynasty league with typical scoring and PPR. We started the league and drafted initial rosters in mid-March and our rookie draft is coming up soon. I have a trade pending that is really appealing to me, and wanted to get feedback from others before I decided to go with it.
My current roster: QB (start one): Schaub, Edwards, Henne RB (start two): Westbrook, Slaton, Portis, LBetts, Torain, RickWilliams, RyMoats, JFargas, BJackson WR (start two): RWayne, BBerrian, JGage, MHarrison TE: Witten
I also have the second overall pick in the upcoming rookie draft (pick 1.02)
I was offered WR Greg Jennings and the seventh overall pick (1.07) for my Brian Westbrook and Bernard Berrian. I do have three solid RB, and to be honest, I was fretting Westbrook in both his current surgery/injury woes and because with him, I'd probably have to burn my 1.02 pick for LaSean McCoy instead of taking either Beanie Wells or Moreno.
With the deal, I'd still have Slaton, Portis and either Beanie Wells or Moreno. to fill my two starting RB slots. I'd have two solid WR, as well, instead of one good one, and one project WR.

If you don't think you can win it this year then I would do it. Westy in current condition would still go in the 2nd maybe early 3rd in a Dynasty but he only has a few years left. He can be gold when healthy but we all know the risks. This trade would replace him with the early rookie 1st rounder you draft. The points you can expect from that guy is less than what can be expected from a healthy Westy but who knows. You do however updrade your youth at the RB position which you can afford to do with your current roster.
At Wr you gain because you basically get a better receiver than Berrian and a solid prospect Like Harvin/Maclin/Britt.
I think I would do it.

What do you all think?
Current Starting Roster: R- Westy and Slaton W- Wayne and Berrian
Post-Trade Starting Roster R- Slaton and Portis W- Wayne and Jennings
Looking at just your starting lineups, this offer would be tempting. The only thing that would scare me would be the lack of depth. If you accept this deal, you're really only 2 deep at both RB and WR. One injury and your season could be over.
Personally I don't think that I'd accept, but it all comes down to how much risk you're willing to take.

With the questions surrounding Westy and his health, and with the questions surrounding who will be QB in MIN, I like this deal for you. You get another stud WR to match with Wayne.
You will likely take Moreno or Wells at the 1.02 spot, and the 1.07 spot will likely be used on a Nix/Maclin type of WR. I think that the 2 high rookie draft picks will solve your issues of depth.

Exactly, Agree 100%, if you can unload him, go for it. I think this is a great deal for you.
I would accept. While this could backfire if, and it's a big if, Westy comes back and performs well in 12+ games for Philly, either way you're unloading an aging RB and a hot and cold WR for a legitimate rising stud WR and 2 top 7 picks in the rookie draft, including Beanie or Knowshon. I like it, while this season's depth may be a little less, this sason's starter's are much scarier with RWayne and Jennings in the WR core too. I say do it, it could help short term if Westy never gets back to Westy form but no matter what this definitely helps long term.
Sorry, missed the part about you having pick 1.02, I thought you'd just have pick 1.07. While adding Wells/Moreno will help, you're still going a little short when it comes to depth. You'll just have to avoid injury.

I like the deal for you, get rid of Westy and stock your team up for the future. I do like Westy, but not for a dynasty league, trade him away now and get some good quality young talent in return. I don't think that your team can win it all this year, so I would look to trade away a few players and build up for the next few years. When my league went to dynasty I traded away two top players for the #1 pick (Peterson). I don't think that you have a clear cut #1 pick this year, but I would look to grab Crabtree or Moreno, good luck
I would pull the trigger, I think Westy's days as a stud are numbered. A stud WR and a first round pick for him is good value. If you wait until next year to trade him you will get nothing. In both of my dynasty drafts Shonn Greene dropped to #7. So, hopefully you will get him to replace Westy at #7.
