Missed draft, who to pick up after autodraft nightmare? WHIR

Postby benb18a » Sun Jun 14, 2009 11:17 pm

Yeah so the other day I checked out the public leagues over on Yahoo, and I signed up for one, but a couple hours before drat, half of the spots were still vacant, so I took myself out of the league. Then today I sign into my account to see that it still drafted a team for me anyway, and although my starters aren't half bad, my depth is pretty horrible for a 10 team league since the retarded computer was too busy picking a lower end TE in round 8, back up TE, K and DST instead of guys like McFadden, McClain etc in the last half.

Here is the situation:

McNabb, Palmer
SJax, Westy, Ronnie Brown, Fred Jackson, Shonn Greene
Colston, VJackson, A. Gonzalez, Mark Clayton, Percy Harvin

On the waiver wire:

Earnest Graham, Maroney, Darby(SJzx's handcuff)
Engram, Gage, Devery Henderson

Should I keep Palmer for a decent platoon, or try to get rid of him for WR depth and pick up Pennington, Flacco or Campbell?

man this is hard...lol....u need a really good WR, I think you have better chance trading mcnabb than palmer, Palmer might have a break season but his trade value is down because of injury.....remember Chad Ochocinco and Coles on WR...You should be fine with Palmer

If you can get a WR go for it...otherwise your team isn't too aweful bad. Your starters at RB are pretty studly. Don't take a chump WR for Palmer...you might have to hold on to him a bit to let him start the season since his value is down due to the injury. If you do dump Palmer off check out Orton..if he is gone then I any of those QBs are good.

Well you landed two solid QB's that could blow up so play the match up game, it works well most of the time. Also you got 3 good RB's which will be huge. WIth that said you managed a #1 WR in Colston and 2 ok WR"s in Jackson and Gonzo.

I would not drop Palmer for a 4th WR. Hold tight see what goes down. If you can land another RB then look to trade one for a top WR.

I think Flacco more than Pennington would be a decent QB2.

I can't imagine you getting a decent trade for Palmer unless you find a Cincy fan. But then, I'm a McNabb hater, not as a person, but he'll burn ya. I'd try to trade McNabb. You'd get more there and there is too much riding on the Eagles with Westbrook there. I could live with a Palmer/Flacco duo.

I'd try to deal Steven Jackson too. He's another burner.

If Colston stays healthy, your receivers look good. I'd pick up Henderson for depth there. With Moore injured and with the beast that Brees is, he might be a boon if Colston goes down.

I'd grab Graham if you can make the room.
