I'm playing around with the 12-team mocks on Yahoo trying to find a good strategy. I think this is my best try so far. I sacrificed at QB and RB2 to work on the receivers this time. Tell me what you think. Any feedback greatly appreciated! TIA.

Starters:
David Garrard (Jac - QB)
Calvin Johnson (Det - WR)
Roddy White (Atl - WR)
Vincent Jackson (SD - WR)
Adrian Peterson (Min - RB)
LenDale White (Ten - RB)
Roy Williams (Dal - WR)
Visanthe Shiancoe (Min - TE)
John Kasay (Car - K)
Dallas (Dal - DEF)

Bench:
Felix Jones (Dal - RB)
Donald Brown (Ind - RB)
LeSean McCoy (Phi - RB)
Laveranues Coles (Cin - WR)
Jeremy Maclin (Phi - WR)

I understand your focus on WR and maybe changing things up in mocks but I don't think this is the way to go. DGarrard isn't near my top-12 first off so even if you wait til the last QB1 is taken you should get a more reliable option than that. I like CJ, Roddy and ADP in your core roster spots but all your other RBs will be fighting to get on the field moreorless make serious fantasy contributions.

Look to handcuff ADP next time if you get him and instead of reaching for a VJackson or RWilliams type of guy go after secure RBs because out of ADP its arguable any of those guys will be consistent fantasy contributors. Only because of CJ, ADP, and Roddy does this earn a B- from me.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm noticing a trend this year that the receivers are getting run early. The problem is that if I do what I like doing - RB/RB - it gets tough to fill the WR spot. But once I start taking receivers, it is a long ADP drop to the next RB, so this time I kept taking them (I messed up my posting, RWilliams is on the bench).

I've been targeting Roddy White, but that is a personal preference, I could have grabbed someone a bit higher in ADP, but the last two years have convinced me that White is just getting better right now. Same with VJackson, I think there were one or two higher-rateds out there.

Of course, I was top pick here, but what I am seeing is Fitz/Moss/AJohnson all gone by very early in Rd 2 and CJ normally not dropping to 24th where I got him. Oh, well. I have all summer to figure this out - right now, I am thinking RB-RB with late position and RB-WR-WR with early position.

I don't think LWhite is a terrible option at RB2, he did have 15 TD's last year. I tried to grab a few other guys who might do well, but maybe a late handcuff to Taylor would been a good idea - he went in Rd 11 which is where I grabbed Garrard as the best of not much left. At that point, I could easily have waited a bit later. This mock was a little weird though, lots of QB's early and lots of doubling down at QB.

Thx again.

I agree somewhat. Not going RB-RB isn't a bad thing. But you can't go RB-5rounds in between-then RB again and be successfl in my opinion. And don't expect LWhite to get the same amount of TDs or even touches this season. He's already pissing off coaches again and CJ isn't a rookie anymore, he'll get every chance to take 5+ of those TDs away from Fatty McFat Fat (My pet name for Lendale)
