Who should be pick 2.10 in rookie dynasty league drafts?

Postby Kareighuis » Fri Jun 26, 2009 1:37 am

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the Cafe's first rounder dynasty votes! I'll be continuing this to the end of the 2nd round.

Who do you think should be the 10th pick of the second round in 12-team rookie dynasty league drafts? You're voting on who will have the best fantasy football production in the NFL over the next 5 or 6 years, NOT who will have the best year in 2009. Assume standard scoring- 1 point per 10 yards rushing/receiving, and no PPR. Also, please assume that you have a balanced roster and don't have a great specific need for a QB, WR, etc.

Feel free to discuss the pros and cons of these players- this could be helpful for some and generate some good discussion. If you'd like to vote for a player NOT on this list, then please vote "other" and make a post to discuss the player. This will serve as a write-in vote for that player. ;-D

Mods, please don't move this thread. This series of topics has had more responses when posted in the Leftovers subforum. Thanks!

Gartrell has more upside, but Coffee is very valuable as a Hightower/Slaton opportunity play. Likely Gartrell never does anything. Coffee has about a 70% chance of starting a few games this year. He has Antonio Pittman meh-handcuff downside but he has a good amount of near term upside. Which is nice. Word out of camp has been more good than bad. Eventually value outweighs not liking a guy and I think around November you could trade Coffee for Gartrell and another piece.

I like Gartrell again.

I can see a Smash Dash deal with Sproles just like Tenn had when LT is gone, which I figure is 2 years.

it's got to be Coffee. Frank Gore is a beast when healthy - but really you going to bank on that?

Coffee eeks out the win, even if there were 4 votes for Gartrell.
