MOVE OVER T.O. and Ocho Cinco: The Canadian Football League's Arland Bruce has you both beaten when it comes to unique end-zone celebrations.
In fact, the Toronto Argonauts wideout probably displayed the most bizarre celebration to date when he stripped off his helmet, shoulder pads and jersey and lay motionless in the end zone pretending to be dead and buried. This after scoring on a 21-yard touchdown pass in a CFL regular-season game.
Why, you ask? To commemorate the death of pop-music king Michael Jackson, naturally.
The sad part is that I actually watched this game (yes I'm such a football addicted person I watch CFL games while all the NFL has to offer is OTAs) and when it happened no one really knew what was going on except that it was a celebration of some sort and the only reason they knew it was a celebration is because it was Arlen Bruce. Bruce is essentially the CFL's version of TO and Chad rolled into one.
I guess what I don't like about these things, and TO and 85, is it's all about the "me" factor. Sure, the NFL took away team celebrations, so it's become me me me celebrations. And its spread into canada. Notice in the video how he's on the ground celebrating like he blocked for himself, threw the ball to himself and made the catch while he was on the other side of the field drawing coverage away from himself....and after the catch, his teammates stand around him wondering what the heck is going on. I decided I didn't like the end zone celebrations a couple years ago after 85 scored a TD and waved off his teammates coming to celebrate with him so he could do something stupid.
Give me a Barry Sanders handing the ball to the ref anyday, thanks.

I have to agree although I am guilty of liking some of them. Personally, they are just too commonplace. Wow, dude, you caught a 12 yard TD in game 7 of the season and your team is losing by 17.... go celebrate. NO thanks. Game winning touchdown with 4 seconds to go... have at it, just make it good.

There are some of the not so gimmicky ones I like. I like LT's "tear drop" because its quick and over with and he turns to celebrate with his team. That kind of thing I don't mind.
