IDP scoring

OK, so I want to figure out a system that makes IDP scoring a little more balanced. A balance between LB, DB and DL but also somewhat in line with offensive scoring. NOt equal but also not so IDP are an after thought when drafting.

DL is causing me the most issues. No matter what scoring I try, the DL is the dark sheep of the group.

Thoughts, suggestions?

FWIW this is what my IDP league uses

B. Defense

1. Scoring (same point totals as for offense.)

2. Tackles

a. two (2) points per solo tackle.

b. one (1) point per assisted tackle.

c. No bonuses for big production in a given game.

3. Pass defense: one-half (1/2) point per pass-defense.

3. Forced fumble: four (4) points per forced fumble.

4. Turnovers

a. four (4) points per interception.

b. four (4) points per fumble recovered (from the opposing team).

c. No bonus for multiple turnovers in a given game.

5. Sacks

a. four (4) points per sack (fully credited to one player)

b. two (2) points per ½ sack.

c. No bonus for multiple sacks in a given game.

6. Safety:

a. six (6) points per credited safety, in addition to tackle or sack points.

b. three (3) points per ½ credited safety, in addition to tackle or sack points.

Yeah, I don't want to get into bonus points. Don't like them for offensive, can't imagine I would like them for IDP.

I am playing with numbers FFToday and see what comes up. It;s not for this year so I have lots of time. Right now I have this plugged in...

i usually look at DL like TE's...there's a few good ones that might be worth drafing high, beyond that i'll take what's left and hope for a big week

Exactly. I just hit that conclusion as well.
