WHAT'S NEW
Unless you've been living under a Rocky mountain, you're well aware that there has been some drama in Denver this offseason. It's a long story, so here's the Cliff's Notes version:
After an 8-8 season, the Broncos fired head coach Mike Shanahan and hired former Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who immediately tried to trade his new quarterback, Jay Cutler. Cutler wasn't happy and, ironically, demanded a trade. So, he was shipped off to Chicago for Kyle Orton.
Then, Denver started loading up on free-agent running backs and also drafted Georgia's Knowshon Moreno to further crowd an already packed backfield. So, even without Shanahan's shenanigans, we really can't be certain about the fantasy values of any Denver running back.
If that wasn't enough, now prima donna Brandon Marshall, who could be suspended to start the season, wants out of Denver, too. Somewhere, Shanahan is laughing out loud.
Despite the ongoing soap opera, there is still some solid fantasy value in Denver. You'll be taking varying amounts of risk with each player, but some of those risks could pay off handsomely.
