Should I accept this trade? WHIR

Postby SteelCurtnDee » Wed Jul 08, 2009 1:38 pm

This is in a Dynasty League, scoring is TD heavy. I have to have a max of 3 RB, 3 WR, and 2 TE going into the draft so I have to drop or trade a RB and a TE from my current roster...

I've been offered Reggie Wayne for Bernard Berrian, Thomas Jones, and John Carlson

My Team
#11 Pick
QB: Tony Romo, Chad Pennington
RB: Steve Slaton, Ronnie Brown, Thomas Jones, Larry Johnson
WR: Santonio Holmes, Bernard Berrian, Devin Hester
TE: John Carslon, Kellen Winslow, Vernon Davis
K: Mason Crosby, Neil Rackers
DEF: NYG, Hou

His Team
#4 Pick
QB: Brett Favre, Matt Hasslebeck
RB: LT, Kenny Watson, Rudi Johnson, Leron McClain
WR: Reggie Wayne, DeSean Jackson, Chad Ochocinco, Chris Chambers
TE: Donald Lee, Leonard Pope
K: David Akers, Matt Bryant
DEF: NE, CLE

I feel like I'm giving up a lot and at a glance it looks like I'm getting robbed. But really I'd have to drop Jones and Berrian anyway. Please help me, and leave a link WHIR

I think I'd do it, you get the best player out of the deal, and as you said you probably would have to drop those guys anyway.

Thanks for the help on mine.

I would do it. You upgrade at WR with Wayne over Berrian, and if you were dropping Jones and Berrian, this really is Wayne for Carlson. Seeing it that way, it looks like a definite steal for you.

I like this deal for you. You are getting a stud for 3 mediocre players.

Clearly Wayne is the best player out of all of these players. The ones that you are trading would be dropped by you, so you are getting value for them. I do like Berrrian, but he is no Wayne and I don't see him improving greatly on his numbers from last year. T.Jones I like, think he is a good rb, but he is getting a little older, they have no proven qb or proven wr's to help him out so his numbers are bound to go down this year. And with Carlson I wouldn't worry about him either, you will be fine. Good luck.

I agree with the consensus. You trade away players you'd be dropping anyway, so it's essentially Wayne for Berrian. Do it.

Little help?
