Sleeper or later round picks Ranks???????

Postby Egg2828 » Thu Jul 09, 2009 11:52 pm

Ok guys, I was hoping you all would throw some names out there of who you are hoping falls to the 6th round or later that will have some value. I'm in a keeper league and we keep 1 player per year 6th round or later. NO ppr.

Exsample: D.Williams, R.White, D.Bowe, M.Turner 2007 road the guys bench all year but he kept him for 08. Jennings 07 for 08. Make since?

What RB's and WR's should be good this year and worth going for in the 6th-7-8-9th rounds. The 6th round is key because its the first round to keep people. I went with R.Mendenhall last year and that did not work out to well. lol

Toss out the key Rookies who have shots at starting!

Thanks,
EGg

Some guys to keep an eye on:

Ray Rice- I think that his value could be limited this year with McGahee on the team. But, next year he should be the main man in Baltimore. I just don't see the Ravens keeping McGahee with his salary and injury history.

Donald Brown- The Colts drafted this guy in the first round for a reason. Addai has been dinged up the last couple of years, so Brown should get plenty of action this year. Any starting Rb in the Colts offense could easily be a top 10 Rb.

Marshawn Lynch- I am not sure how far he will drop in drafts, but I think he is undervalued this year due to his 3 game suspesnion and off the field issues. When the guy plays he is a beast. Hopefully people are scared off by the suspension and he drops.

Felix Jones- I really see Felix Jones tearing it up this year. The guy seems to make plays whenver he touches the ball. The Cowboys will probably use Felix a lot between the 20's and bring Barber in for goal line work. Felix is one of those backs that can score anytime he has the ball.

Yep, you hit two guys I have my eye on Rice and Brown. Lynch wont fall he will go top 3-4 rounds no doubt. F.Jones might already be kept but wont last to long since were all in Dallas.

Thanks, keep em comming boys. This is good for everyone.

Cabtree WR SF: #1 WR there, very quick and deep threat. late round wr pick
Avery. STL #1 WR: Again late rounds you can get a teams #1 WR that might serve as a late round pick with some upside vs a teams 3rd/4th WR.

Less obvious ones

Michael Bush - let's say SD gets rid of LT

Bernard Scott - poor man's Chris Johnson (ok, homeless man's...), only costs you an end of draft flier

Jamaal Charles - the Ray Rice to LJ's McGahee at a much cheaper cost and without a TD vulture FB

Laurence Maroney - let's say NE finally lets him go to another team. one that will play him.

Devin Thomas - Moss needs a compliment, and will probably not be with the team after '10

Earl Bennett - Commodore connection
