standard scoring. no PPR. 10 team league. I can keep ONE of the following top-notch recievers (ya, I know, its sick that I had all three- I also had T.O.- lucked out!). I give up a third round pick to keep them:
Anquan Boldin Greg Jennings Roddy White
all are averaging 2-3 round in mock drafts. Which one and WHY?
The key to a winning season is focusing on one opponent at a time. Winning one week at a time. Never look back and never look ahead. Chuck Noll
Jennings. He has a favorable schedule and a great QB. Plus, he's had 21 TD's in the last 2 years.
White's a good option too, but he doesn't seem to have the TD production of Jennings. Adding TE Tony Gonzalez to the mix won't help White expand his TD production, either. Also, the Falcons have a super-hard first place schedule and I am fearful of a sophomore slump from Matt Ryan.
I like Boldin but his injury risk concerns me. He's missed 4 games each of the past two seasons. A lot of people look at his Fantasy pts per game average but consider this; if Boldin averages 15 pts per game but misses three games, your fantasy team might lose those three games and leave you out of the playoffs. So Boldin having a couple of monster 25+ point performances mixed in with missing games where he gets zero points is something to be avoided...
I'm a GB fan but I think I'd keep Roddy White here. He's improved every year he's played and hasn't missed a game in 4 years. I actually think having Tony G there will boost his TD total while taking a slight decline in rec yds. Jennings has missed 5 games in the past 3 seasons and will have to contend with emerging WR Jordy Nelson and improving James Jones as deep threats.
This is a nice dilemma to have though. Both are #1 options at WR and will have comparable stats. I just lean slightly with White (and I don't forsee any significant slump for Matt Ryan)

Well, they didn't exactly shut down Larry Fitzgerald in the Super Bowl. I wouldn't over-analyze Jennings' schedule when deciding to keep him or not. The Falcons have a brutal schedule in 2009 as well...and if Jennings plays the Steelers and Ravens, he gets to play the Bengals and Browns too. In the end it will work out.
