Yea I feel Ward is the best bet of them all. But im stuck up on mainly deciding between him and White. I know Ten has CJ but White is only getting better and a TD machine
I also think Ward is the choice. I think that Ward is flying under the radar this year. I just don't think that Graham or Caddy are talented enough to take too many carries away from him.
LenDale. Even in a PPR I'd take him over Derrick Ward. News flash everybody, Ward is not running behind the Giants' o-line anymore.
The Bucs will be awful in 2009. The QB situation is sketchy and their o-line is sub-par. Earnest Graham is still a threat to Ward's red-zone carries. I do not like Ward's situation in 2009. He's not going to be Michael Turner, shifting over to a new team to become a starter and Fantasy star. Ward was healthy last year, but even in a reserve role missed 8 games in 2007 due to injury.
White could get 20 TD's in Tennessee, and outscore Ward on that alone, even in a PPR format. There's talk in Tennessee of moving Chris Johnson into a wideout spot in formations and passing him the ball in open space, leaving more opportunities for White to carry the ball.
I agree with you, I don't expect D. Ward to be the next Michael Turner. But, he will see most of the carries and he will be involved in the passing game. Lendale White's value plummets in a PPR league. He may score 12 TD's, but I doubt that he even catches 7 balls.
Based on this league's scoring (my projections): Ward- 1,000 yards rushing , 8 TD's and 40 catches for 300 yards and 3 TD's = 152 points
Tennessee is a run first team. So that means between Chris Johnson and Lendale White they will share 2/3 of the offense at least. Lendale is a bulldozer and will easily eclipse 10 TD's with about 700-800 yards rushing. Ward is good but who knows how he will fit in with TB's offensive scheme. Even in a PPR league I'd lean with LenDale here. The risk reward ratio isn't high enough for me to choose Ward over White.

I like Derrick Ward over Lendale White. I know Lendales the man to take goalline carries and will prob score 10-12 tds but I believe Ward will have a big role there in tampa. Im a huge giants fan and a big fan of Derrick Ward. Hes a complete back who can catch the ball out of the backfield and run inbetween the tackles. I think hes a lot better than graham and I think Ward will be getting goalline carries too. I just think the ceiling for success regarding lendale is limited while Wards is a lot higher and worth taking the chance on.
