Brees in round 1??

Postby Asskickas » Tue Jul 14, 2009 4:33 pm

Drafting from the 3 spot in a 10 team 18 rounder.
Starters: QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R, Q/W/R/T, K, DEF
Passing
Completions .25 pts
Touchdowns 5
Interceptions -2
Sacks -1
Passing Yards 20 yards per point
Bonus pts
1 points at 295 yards
1 points at 345 yards for 2 total
3 points at 395 yards for 5 total

Rushing
Rushing Touchdowns 6
Receptions 1
Rushing Yards 10 yards per point
Bonus pts
1 points at 95 yards
1 points at 145 yards for total of 2
3 points at 195 yards for total of 5

Or do I go with MJD or Turner or ADP if he fell?

Brees had over 400 completions last year which would equal 100pts this year.

MJD, Forte, Peterson....
Turner isn't top 3 in PPR
Too early for Brees in my opinion

given that a completion is .25, and that you can start two QBs in this league, which awards 5 points for a passing TD, you could make a case for brees @ #3.

turner and ADP arent PPR machines, and id be willing to bet forte and MJD will be off the board when you draft.

turner and ADP will be great, but brees could be considered here.

gotta agree here,in your scoring setup getting arguably the top qb is definitely something to consider

I think that you should take whoever is left from AP, MJD, and Forte at #3. There is no need to take a QB that high. You will be able to get a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round that will throw for plenty of completions and TD's. (Rodgers, P.Manning, Brady, Rivers, McNabb, Warner). It is much easier to find a Qb who will throw for 25-30 TD's than it is to find a stud Rb who is not invlolved in a RBBC. I highly doubt there will be one sitting there in the 2nd or 3rd round.
