Quick Trade Help - WHIR

Postby Swipe79 » Tue Jul 14, 2009 11:53 pm

We're in the 17th round in our 12 team keeper league. Each team is allowed a 30 player roster, we start 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 2 DL, 2 LB, and 2 DB. We keep up to 20 players, but if you keep fewer, you are compensated with picks. Our scoring breaks down as;

1 point per 75 passing yard, 1 point per 1 PaTD, -1 point per INT, -1 point per fumble
1 point per 33 rush/rec yards, 1 point per 1 RuTD or ReTD, -1 point per fumble
1 point per 3 Individual Tackles, 1 point per sack, 1 point per Forced Fumble, 1 point per DeTD, 1 point per INT

My current roster is;
QB - Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan, Marc Bulger
RB - LaDainian Tomlinson, Frank Gore, Willis McGahee, LeSean McCoy, Fred Jackson, Shonn Greene
WR - Dwayne Bowe, DeSean Jackson, Hines Ward, Michael Crabtree, Donald Driver, Jeremy Maclin
TE - Owen Daniels
K -
DL -
LB -
DB -

I am possibly looking at a deal that would have me sending Driver to a team for Rashard Mendenhall, and the next pick in the draft. With that pick, I could grab any of these players. Would it be worth sending Driver off for that, and possibly trying to deal one of the RB's I have for some WR help later on?

QB - Derek Anderson
RB - Jamaal Charles, Jerome Harrison, Shonn Greene
WR - Nate Washington, Nate Burleson, Patrick Crayton, Hakeem Nicks
DL - Tamba Hali, Bryan Thomas, Adewale Ogunleye, Aaron Schobel, Mathias Kiwanuka
LB - Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, Julian Peterson, Will Witherspoon, James Farrior
DB - Ronde Barber, Eric Weddle, Sean Jones, Antrell Rolle

I'd definitely take that deal and grab Jerome Harrison with the pick...you'll have some guys with some real upside who could become great trade bait for you later on if you do that (Mendenhall, McCoy, Jackson, Greene, and Harrison) so I'd take it and run. Not often can you deal an aging WR who is probably nearing his end for a young RB who was considered by some to be the best all around RB in last year's draft.

I would do that deal. mindenhall has big upside and i think Driver is on his last legs. in a keepr league mindenhall has great value in my opinion, and Driver has almost none. you should be able to secure an even better WR by trading one of your other RBs

mine?
