It's usually not a good idea to start a qb/rb, qb/wr or rb/wr from the same team.

You want to optimize your scoring potential. If Schaub has a bad game, you wil get zero production out of 2 players on your roster. If you have Ryan and he has a bad game, AJ may have a big game to compensate for you.

Shooting for double points will backfire on you more often than not.

Brady/Moss 2007 is the exception that does not disprove the rule.

I would say it Can backfire but shouldent. Most QB's are going for 150-200yrd and 1TD per game. With Slaton at RB and AJ Schaub should do fine. Maybe bench when they have a tough match up but yes Schaub with AJ could be big.

Romo/Witten
Manning/Wayne
Rivers/Gates

and so on. No one benches these guys. They will put up numbers more times than not.

With that said i like Schaub. Ryan is a run 1st pass 2nd team.

You're putting yourself in a bad position if you have these guys on the same fantasy team. If similar talent is available, you should avoid having a QB and WR/TE from the same team.

I thought about this but the I also thought that after a runner goes for 390 carries in 1 year he usually sees a decrease the following year. I think that's why they went and got Gonzalez. I also forgot before I posted about Schaub's injury history. I'm leaning to staying pat and rolling with Ryan who has Roddy and Gonzo and Jenkins isn't too bad. Schaub's injury is the only thing making me think twice. Slaton will keep coming into his own and getting more touches too.

Ryan will probably put up decent numbers, but I would want to have a very solid backup that matches well on bad matchups for ATL.

I am NOT a fan of QB/WR combos. I have been burnt time and time again over the 15+ years I have been playing. The only ones I could conceive of this year would be Moss/Brady, and I suppose a case can be made for Manning/Wayne, but not Schaub/AJ. Last year maybe... if you had Rosenfels on your squad as well. But this year, if (when??) Schaub gets hurt, Sage is gone and now you have a HUGE dropoff in talent at QB... making 2 players on your squad worthless.

So all that being said I would say Ryan over Schaub for your squad, especially if it's a keeper league.

Please take a look at mine: viewtopic.php?t=438527 Thanks and Good luck!
