Postby borderline fanatic » Fri Jul 17, 2009 7:20 am

Hey guys,
I am in a 12 team non ppr standard espn scoring nonsnake draft league and am considering the following trade in a 6 player keeper league:

Give: Pick 1:11

Recieve: Brandon Jacobs

The bad part is I will have to drop Marshawn Lynch if I make this trade

Keepers
T Romo
ADP
Gore
Lynch
D Bowe
B Marshall

I wouldn't, you don't really need Jacobs. If you're going to trade it, I would look for a team that has some extra WR talent and try to land someone who would be dropped otherwise or package it with one of your WR keepers for an upgrade. You have a lot of keepers so that 1.11 is really like a 7.11 in a complete redraft. I don't remember your roster requirements but you will probably be looking for a WR with that pick if you don't trade it. If you do trade it, you might still want to take a WR at 8.11.

I know the way it is set up the first 4-5 picks get the rookies and the players that slip through the cracks. By the 11th pick it gets pretty slim that iswhy I was thinking about the trade. If I keep the pick what to dyothink about Owen Daniels. Normally I would not take a TE this early but Witten, gates, clark, cooley, winslow, carleson, and the chicago TE will be kept. Daniels is the last TE really worth owning.

It would depend on who else is available as far as WRs go. I think there are some good value TEs that can be had later in the draft (Celek, Shiancoe). I would go with a guy like Moore, Moss, Ginn Jr. if they are available over Daniels personally but I usually draft a couple TEs late in the draft and hope one pans out or rotate them.
