Who do I keep? Portis or D. Williams?

Postby Phatferd » Sat Jul 18, 2009 11:20 am

I can only keep 1 RB and it's between Portis and DeAngelo Williams. Who would you guys keep? I am leaning towards Portis because he won't be sharing any carries, however, Williams had more points for me last year in a shared role.

How long can you keep them? No matter

Keep D.Williams hands down. He is going in the top 8 RB this year and even with JS in the mix he put up huge numbers last year. MJD type player. Portis is going as a low end #1 RB high end #2 RB.

DWill altough I would guess it will be close this year. Stewart will continue to sniff more touches as he is the next RB for Carolina in 2011 when DWill is gone. I think you ahve 1 more year with good numbers for DWill.

DWill is a FA after this year and will likely demand big money that Carolina can't afford. That is the big ?. If you are keeping Dwill you are gambling that he can perform at the same level this year and at a high level whereever he goes. I believe he can but will always have someone spelling him. Portis is solid but getting slightly old. He has had a lot of carries and has shown a little breaking down as of late.

I think I would keep Dwill.
