Which back would you rather go with as your #1 RB this year? I am in a 10 man keeper league and am keepng Randy Moss from last year. I have the 6th pick, and all three could be available at my first pick. 1 pt per 10 yards rushing/receiving and 6 pts per TD.
Well Gore is the main man in SF and Iron Mike will want to go to a ball control type of offense this season. Slaton is on a high powered offense and should have another quality season. I do like Portis, but he has a lot of wear and tear on him and is injury prone. So I would go Gore, Slaton and then Portis.
I like portis more than slaton this year, but i've seen him going in the second (sometimes even the third in 10-teamers...!) and so you might have a shot at him when it snakes back around, especially if people grab WRs and QBs in between your picks.

Every mock I have done Portis is falling as a #2 RB in a 12 team league. Slaton has way more upside IMO. Portis vs NYG,Philly,Dallas all year is no walk in the park. He did very well last year but lacked TD's.
Slaton was a machine last year when starting and is a huge threat in the passing game. More upside than portis

If u draft late August u can see hoe these 3 guys do in Pre Season and if 1 of them or 2 are running right over the other teams D u gotta make a decision and pick 1 but as of now i would pick Gore then Slaton portis is risky cuz hes never healthy and last year had so many problems
