Signed up for an auto draft standard scoring league at CBS (1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF) and came up with a nice squad that has a few question marks at receiver.
Scanned the free agent list and see several candidates to replace the back-up TE that was drafted for me (Donald Lee) and was curious to see how you guys would rank 'em.
ATL: Jenkins CIN: Henry DAL: Austin JAC: Williams MIA: Camarillo, Bess NO: Meachem NYG: Hixon OAK: Higgins, Schilens PHI: Curtis SF: Morgan WAS: Randle El
There are a few other interesting ones, but these same like the cream of the crop to me.... I am personally partial to Hixon, Morgan, Henry and Curtis but I need some objectivity.
Those four are worth late round flyers, IMHO. I would say that in your position, I would probably pick up Henry, as he has always had the talent, but he SEEMS to have gotten past his immature crap this year so far. If he is healthy, and Palmer has a decent season, Henry will definitely be worth a roster spot.
Thanks to eagles21 for the awesome sig
2011:
Representin' the Cafe in the IBL league: 73-34, 15-8 in Championship Tier playoffs BBKL: 7-6 Money league: 9-4, #1 seed one and done
I've ordered them as follows and we'll see what happens tomorrow.
Hixon, Domenik WR NYG - #1 receiver, talented, decent QB Henry, Chris WR CIN - extremely talented, good QB, been watching him for years and I just believe... Morgan, Josh WR SF - potential #1 receiver, QB?, offense in general ? Curtis, Kevin WR PHI - very talented, good QB, but how well did the surgery go? and I already have DeSean Jackson... Austin, Miles WR DA - good receiver, decent QB, kind of an unknown commodity in my mind
Ended up getting Hixon and, as a bonus, the only guy off that list that got nabbed was Jenkins.... So I'll keep my eye on the rest (especially Austin - thanks for the heads up!) and if one of my other dubious bench warmers doesn't pan out (Chris Chambers, Willis McGahee maybe?) I can still make a swap.
