My league is a Keeper League. We get to keep 1 player. Then, when a team drafts a player off of your last year's roster you get to keep another (you basically get 2 of your top 3). I am going to Keep Matt Forte. The other top players on my roster are Steven Jackson, Drew Brees and Calvin Johnson. Here are my current choices.

1) Stay Put - Keep Forte, get back either Jackson or Brees (assuming Brees) and then draft the likes of Calvin Johnson or Randy Moss in the first round

2) Keep Forte, Trade both Jackson and Johnson for two 2nd round picks. This would mean Forte, Marshall a first and two 2nd's

3) Keep Forte, Trade Calvin Johnson for a 2nd round pick. I would then get to have Forte, Brees or Jackson and two 2nd round picks. The only downside to this is that all the elite WR's (A. Johnson, Fitzgerald, Moss, C. Johnson, Wayne) would be gone by my first round pick and I would be inclined to go with someone like Brandon Jacobs in the first.

Please give me your advice (option 1, 2, or 3) Any other comments would be appreciated. Thanks and I look forward to replying to your situations in the future.

Welcome to The Cafe, just a friendly heads up, you'd get much better feedback if this was in the 'Draft/Trade/Waiver' forum.

before this gets moved, i would happily advise option 1) Forte, Sjax and megatron seems a heck of a base from which to start!

You would like to play in my league why?

Last year my keeper was S. Jackson - I drafted Brees in the 1st round, Calvin Johnson in the 2nd round and Forte in the 4th. I hit on all of them. Most thought C. Johnson in the 2nd was too early - I didn't think so given his upside and the type of league we have. I am a Bears fan so that explains the Forte pick.
