Jackson or Fitz? I'm Torn

Postby Bravos of Steel » Thu Jul 23, 2009 10:56 am

Hey guys, I play in a standard yahoo league, 12 teams, 1 man keeper league. I need to decide my keeper by next week, and I'm torn between 2: Steven Jackson and Larry Fitzgerald.

On one hand, I want to keep Jackson because of all of the other RBs that are sure to be kept in my league. I'm a RB guy first and foremost, and I have the 8th pick. My chances of landing a really solid RB at that pick are slim.

On the other, I want to keep Fitz because he's the model of consistency. He scores points like a WR does, and there's always that likelihood that a RB of Jackson's status could fall to me at 8.

I'm 100% torn guys, and I need some help. If you leave a link, I'll give you my best answers.

SJax... he likely wouldn't fall to you at 8th, you ahve a better shot of Fitz getting to you at 8th. If FItz goes early, then grab Moss as he will outpoint him anyways this year.

I'd go SJax,while Fitz is the top wr I think you have a better chance of grabbing him(or a wr close) with your pick than a rb egual to SJax

Keep S JAX. #1 Rb's who are not in a RBBC are very rare. You should be able to grab a quality WR with your first or second pick. But, I highly doubt you will draft a Rb the caliber of S JAX

another one for SJax, chances of a RB like that falling to you @ 8 is a heck of alot slimmer then a WR of Fitz's magnitude falling to 8

help me out..

Well you are technically picking in the 20th spot after 12 keepers and 7 picks before you. So with that thought I would say that Fitz or another top wr is more likely to be there at 8 than SJax. I don't see either of them being there for your 1st pick, but I would look at a team that is drafting early and see if they have a really bad team and possibly trade Fitz for a draft pick, not sure if that would work, but worth a shot. good luck.

This. When in doubt, go with the player you think you are least likely to get back in the draft.
