Lynch for Stewart in a Keeper worth vetoing?

Postby rippz » Thu Jul 23, 2009 11:13 am

A trade of M. Lynch straight up for J. Stewart is getting some big time complaints because some managers view this trade as extremely unfair.

The managers putting down a veto think that Stewart is 100% more valuable than Lynch.

Is there any reason to veto this?

No,unless you think 2 owners are colluding (and I wouldn't from this trade) you shouldn't veto this

This isn't even close to being worth vetoing...consider that while Stewart might have more long term potential, Lynch has the advantage right now with him already being a full time starter on a run first team. Lynch could very well outperform Stewart for the next couple seasons at least which just ends up meaning that one owner values production now over production later and the other values the opposite...no issues here.

Definitely not worth a veto.

What tantrix said. ;-D

This trade isn't even unbalanced IMO, but unless you suspect collusion (2 teams cheating to make 1 team better), you have to pass EVERY trade...no matter how unbalanced or unfair it looks "on paper". ;-D

I see no reason to have this trade vetoed. I think that Lynch and Stewart are very close in value in keeper leagues. I would question being in a league where owners would complain about a trade like this.

Wow, I would never second guess this trade. Lynch will be the main man in B-lo and J-Stew is the #2 man in Carolina. I can see the putting up somewhat similar numbers, most likely Lynch having more of an advantage because he should get more touches. But no chance I would veto this.

Yeah, no need for complaining. Why does your league think Stewart has way more value. Last time I looked Lynch was pretty much the full time starter while Stewart has D. Williams to fight carries for. You need to accept the trade.
