14 Team h2h keeper deal, MJD on the blocks...WHIR!!

Postby bazzy_51 » Thu Jul 23, 2009 12:25 pm

Hey all, just took over a team in this keeper league and looking to get some value as the guy before me traded his 1st round pick for Jon Beason last year (it equals an 8th round pick after the 7 keeper picks)... roster starts are the normal 1/3/2/1 plus a W/R and W/T slot... scoring again standard plus INT's -2, fumbles lost -2 and return yards 25 yards=1 pt, WR and RB 10 yd=1 pt, QB 25 yd=1 pt...

so like i said we have 7 Keepers, and im without my first round pick, these are my 7 Keepers:

Tony Romo
Joseph Addai
MJD
Terrell Owens
Lee Evans
Michael Jenkins
Jason Witten
Jon Beason/Jon Vilma/DeMeco Ryans

so i posted that i had some players on the block, mainly MJD so far these are the offers ive recieved:

A: I give MJD
I Recieve: Mendenhall/DeSean Jackson

B: I give MJD
I Recieve: Chris Johnson (RB-TEN) and 3rd round pick (essentially a 10th round pick)

C: I give MJD
I Recieve: Thomas Jones and Willie Parker

D I Give Terrell Owens
I Recieve: Willie Parker and 2nd round pick (essentially a 9th round pick)

Dunno if i should take a shot with one of these deals, or stand pat, im just not entirely sure MJD is going to make as big of a splash this year as everyone is predicting him to, and would rather sell the hype right now then a value dropper later...

so which trade if any, or if you think i should get more from one of the trades please help out!

I would reject every trade that you received. MJD could be the #1 RB this year. I would want at least a young top 10 Rb and top 10 WR for him.

Trading MJD leaves you lacking at rb,I don't have any faith in Addai and think Brown will be starting before years end.Out of these trades I might consider the one for CJ if you could bump the draft slot to a a 1st though even then don't think I would personally

Good Luck!

understandable, but the thing is is that with it being a 14 team league there aren't very many teams that have that...

talking about the best possible combos right now are looking like:

Lynch and Andre Johnson or Lynch and Brandon Marshall

Chris Johnson and Santonio Holmes or Turner and Holmes (guy as already said that CJ and DeSean Jackson are too much for just MJD, so i don't think hes gonna do CJ and Holmes or Turner and Holmes)

Ronnie Brown and Calvin Johnson

Forte and Antonio Bryant

Reggie Bush and Steve Smith, those 2 names pack to much face value for just MJD

Steven Jackson and Randy Moss or Jackson and Braylon Edwards or Jackson and Greg Jennings, and again i just don't think MJD carries enough name value right now to do those combos?

am i way off here?

I would just keep MJD i see no reason why he wont be at least a top 5 RB with the potential to be #1, and hes young, none of those deals are even close to being fair i think

Chalk another one up for just keep MJD. As stated, he could easily be the top back come year's end.
