I would pick Pierre Thomas or Ronnie Brown first. Pierre Thomas is the Saints number one back and has Dree Brees behind him. Their offense is going to be like the Saints from 06 with Deuce and Reggie but with Pierre filling in for Deuce and not having the same knee issues. Ronnie Brown is going to take over this year and is in a contract year so he's hungry. I think you'll do well with either of these 2.

Ryan Grant is up and down in my opinion and I'm not completely sold on Kevin Smith yet

for what its worth, ronnie and pierre and grant are all pretty close in my rankings, with smith a bit down. i'm not sure why people are so high on him this year. same O-line, same QB problems, same awful defense. i think he's getting overvalued as a "feature back."

Check out this thread for lots of info and views on him.

I like him based on what he showed two years ago, #1 back by far before he went down, he is now over a year removed from his ACL (or whatever it was) injury and ran well last year despite the fact he wasn't a year removed.
